Medoan tempeh is a tempeh dish that is battered with flour and spices, don't forget to also add celery leaves and then fry it half-cooked, which is usually fried dry and crispy tempe, but it is different with this medoan tempe, the special feature of this medoan tempe is that it is fried half-cooked, then mixed with green cayenne pepper or sweet soy sauce with spicy cayenne pepper.

This medoan tempeh is very rare for me to find at a fryer, in my area, and it is also very rare for me to make it at home, and by chance today my mother brought home 2 tempeh boards, and the plan was to make medoan tempeh. He said mother would like to taste medoan tempeh made by me, it's fine mother, as a good and devoted son I will try to make delicious medoan tempe for mother.

Materials used

2 tempeh boards
7 tablespoons of flour
2 tablespoons meizena flour
1 spring onion
1 stalk of celery
1/2 tbsp baking powder


Fine spices


1 tbsp salt
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 hazelnuts
1 clove of garlic


Cooking procedure



First


Blend all the spices until smooth, then take the wheat flour and meizena flour and mix it into the blended spices. Add little by little water, make the dough so it doesn't become runny,also add baking powder

Second


add leeks to the flour mixture, stir until the mixture is evenly mixed, if there is not enough salt, add a little more salt

Third


thinly slice the tempeh, or according to taste, then dip it into the flour mixture, then fry the tempeh in hot oil

for the sauce, I only use sweet soy sauce, ketchup, and lime flavor with the addition of one cayenne pepper to make it spicy

Medoan tempeh is ready, you can eat it while it's warm, friends, because this medoan tempeh is very good to eat while it's warm, but even when it's cold, this medoan tempeh is also delicious, because this type of medoan tempeh is not crunchy, it's soft and the spices are very palatable. For me, this medoan tempeh served as a side dish for rice is also very tasty.
