.Friends my love for potatoes has continued to make me search for more ways to enjoy potatoes especially the Russet Potato that is so versatile in recipes with good staples. And my todays recipe is one you will surely want to try.

This very amazing recipe of crispy shredded hash browns I stumbled upon on the YouTube page of SERIOUS EATS . And among many other recipes, I choose this very recipe I prepared to share with you because its very unique , spicy and delicious šŸ˜‹.

And who will not like a crispy shredded hash browns made out of a sweet potatoes šŸ .For me it was surprisingly amazing to see a recipe of shredded potatoes, because I have never tried it before and did not know how the final result will turn out since its main process is to peel and grate the potatoes šŸ .

This indeed got me hooked that I have to go all the way to prepare this recipe . And I tell you it was worth trying even though time was my only problem since I needed to be patience in grating the russet potatoes. And with just few ingredients, its all ready.

Come with me to see the magic in preparing this crispy shredded hash browns you will definitely love ā¤ļø

.# INGREDIENTS:

1 medium size russet potato (1 serving)
2 tablespoons of corn šŸŒ½ starch
3 tablespoons of vegetable oil( shallow frying)
1/2 teaspoon of chili šŸŒ¶ powder
1/4 salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon curry powder

STEPS FOR PREPARATION:

Step 1.

I will commence preparation by cutting and peeling the potatoes .

Step 2.

Then will slash cut the peeled potatoes into four.

Step 3.

Next is to wash the potato and leave in a sieve to dry off some water.

Step 4.



To grate the potatoes, I will use my ever ready fish design tiny holes šŸ•³ grater to patiently grate the potatoes šŸ .


And neatly will gather the grated potatoes as here above.

Step 5.




Once its ready, I will pour it into one of the kitchen towels to squeeze out the water.

Step 6.

We can see how dried its looking here and inside the bowl šŸ„£.

Step 7.

To mix I will add little corn starch into the potatoes, chili powder.curry powder, salt,

Will stir to incorporate as above.

Step 8.



Will use the tips of my fingers to properly knead it into fine smooth dough. Then will cut it into four equal partā€™s.

Step 9.


Will flatten each using the roller, spreading some corn šŸŒ½ starch on them for smooth surface.

As here above.

Step 10.

Finally will heat up a shallow oil to fry the shredded potatoes.


Frying for about 1 (one) minute, flipping it over once its golden and hash looking.

And its ready looking so hash just like itā€™s supposed to with some spicy deliciousness from this recipe. This is another recipe you need to try out from potatoes . We can enjoy it just like a snack or with tea šŸµ, coffee ā˜•ļø as breakfast. You will really love it šŸ„°. By the side is sone chopped cent leaves for aroma.
