Hello hivers and vegan family 🥰
The base ingredients for this recipe is turmeric and garlic but am paying attention to turmeric in this recipe.
Turmeric is one healthy organic root spice , golden orange in color known for adding color, flavor and nutrition in foods Turmeric is a relative of ginger, and research shows turmeric has been used for cooking for hundreds of years.
Like other colorful plant-based foods, turmeric is rich in nutrients that may protect the body by neutralizing free radicals like that of sunlight and pollution, helping to shielding the cells from damage.
Diet rich in plants-based 🌱 foods like that of turmeric, ginger, onions 🧅 garlic 🧄 and more, are associated with prevention of medical conditions such as cancer and heart ♥️ disease 🦠.
Today I made a turmeric spiced beans to see how good it will taste since I cook beans a lot as one food I love , and beans as a staple in my country is one food that is becoming too expensive since the rich 🤑found out that it can help flatten the stomach and make one loose weight.
You can’t imagine how good turmeric made this recipe tastes apart from giving it an appetizing color, it also left some good aroma to it for deliciousness. Its interesting to know that we can add turmeric to our various recipes as a spice knowing it elevates health.
Here I show you the step by step for the preparation of this recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
400 g of light brown beans
1 medium size red onions
1 large tomatoes
3 fresh hot chili 🌶 peppers
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 a thumb of fresh turmeric
20 ml of red palm oil
STEPS FOR PREPARATION:
Step 1.
First thing I did was to pick and clean the beans , removing particles .
Step 2.
I will wash the beans properly here, turning it into a pot.
adding water here above.
Step 3.
Next will per- boil the beans for at least 5 minutes to remove some gas that causes constipation .
By pouring away the first cook water .
Step 4.
And will add the beans back into the pot, adding fresh water 💦
Then will set it on the cooker to finally cook, adding salt.
Step 5.
Will wash and slice the tomatoes, onions, chili .
And crush the turmeric and garlic here above.
Step 6.
Once the beans cooks and tenders, I will add the sliced tomatoes, onions and chili here.
Stir to incorporate properly.
And here added the turmeric and garlic
Step 7.
And will allow to incorporate as it cooks on before adding the red palm oil here.
Then stir again to prevent sticking and burning.
Step 8.
Will allow to cook and tender up properly with just little water left.
As here above.
Meals like this are left to cool down before serving , to enable one enjoy the taste and flavors of each scooped spoons 🥄. And many will love to add some bits of of sliced bread 🍞 to enjoy it better., but for me it feels heavier haha 😆
.And if you are not a lover 💕 of beans, you are indeed missing a lot because its one of the most proteinous plant-based foods. We can replace our meat 🥩, chicken 🍗 , fish 🐟 and egg 🥚 by eating lots of beans as vegans 🌱adding organic spices to it.
Thank your for staying to the end of this recipe and reading:). Sending love friends 🥰
