Hello my loving Hiveans,
How are you, Good night to all my dear friends. I have been very busy these past few days. So no matter what, I always try to bring new food for my dear friends. So today I brought you simple food. Actually, we Sri Lankans make and eat this almost all the time. But a little change has been made. We Asians like to eat a little more spicy food. So today I brought you Sambola with roti. When we say roti, we Sri Lankans make roti by adding coconut. But I didn't add coconut to the rotis I made today. Today I am making a type of roti that can be made quickly without adding coconut. I also thought of a symbol that fits better with this. So let's see how to make this.
Ingredients;
- A cup of plain flour
- A tablespoon of oil
- 50ml of water
- Hlaf teaspoon of yeast
- A teaspoon of chilli powder
- Half teaspoon of lime juice
- A teaspoon of salt powder
- A few curry leaves
- A few leaves of leeks
- An average size is one carrot
- A ripe tomato
- Two medium sized onions
- A tablespoon of sugar
The method of making;
Wash and clean large onions, curry leaves, leeks, tomatoes and carrots and cut them into small pieces.
Now add flour in another bowl. Add half a teaspoon of salt powder, one tablespoon of oil, one tablespoon of sugar and one teaspoon of yeast to it.
Now let's add the finely chopped curry leaves, leeks, carrots to the flour mixture as they are part of the onions.
Now add water little by little to make a non-sticky flour mixture.
Now keep this flour mixture covered for about thirty minutes and then divide it into two parts.
Spread some oil on the rolling disc and thin out one dough ball.
Spread some oil on the prepared pan and put the thinned roti and fry it for three to four minutes on low flame. Remember to keep the lid closed.
Leave the roti baked on both sides to cool.
In the meantime, let's prepare the filling required for the roti. For that, you need to make sambola.For that you can add chopped onion, tomato, chili powder and salt powder for about a teaspoon and blend all these things. Otherwise, it can be carved in mortar.
Now let's add half a teaspoon of sour lime.
Reserve the baked rotti in the middle so that it does not separate.
Spread the prepared sambol well. I believe it will be clear to you from the image.
You can enjoy this cut into pieces or on its own.
This is one of my favorite dishes. Most of the time, this food is prepared in my house as well. As someone who likes to eat more spicy food, I really like this roti method. Try this method too. If you are too spicy, you can change these ingredients and make them as you like. I believe everyone in your family likes this dish even better.
Warmly thanking you for reading.
