I hope that tomorrow will be a very beautiful day. We have this season of breadfruit. So I thought I should make another delicious dish from breadfruit. There are various types of tasty dishes that can be made from breadfruit. Today I will show you about a very delicious cutlet that can be made from breadfruit. So let's see how to make it.
Ingredients;
- A piece of breadfruit of about 250 grams
- The size is a large onion
- About two green chili pods
- About a handful of curry leaves
- About 150 liters of coconut oil
- Half a teaspoon of turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- About one and a half teaspoons of chilli
flakes - About half a teaspoon of pepper powder
* A piece of ginger - Three cloves of garlic
- One and half cups of water
- Two tablespoons of plain flour
- 50g of breadcrumbs
The method of making;
Remove the peel and add the breadfruit pieces cut into small pieces in a bowl of water.
Wash well and drain the water.
Place a suitable vessel on the stove and add breadfruit pieces to it and add one and a quarter cups of water.
Add half teaspoon of turmeric powder and salt powder to it.
Stir well and boil for about fifteen minutes on medium heat.
Finely chop the washed and cleaned big onions, green chillies, curry leaves, garlic and ginger.
Mash the boiled breadfruit pieces well.
Now put a pan on the stove and add one and a half table spoon of oil to this pan and when the oil is hot, add chopped garlic and ginger and fry for about thirty seconds.
Then add chopped curry leaves and green chillies.
After adding the chopped onion pieces and frying them, add half a teaspoon of pepper powder and salt powder.
Now reduce the heat on the stove and add the chilli pieces and stir fry.
Now turn off the flame and add the mashed breadfruit and stir well and keep it on the same heat for two or three minutes.
Transfer to another bowl to cool.
**After the breadfruit mixture has cooled well, make normal sized balls as shown in the picture. **
A mixture of flour and liquid should be prepared for applying these prepared breadfruit balls. For that, add two table spoons of plain flour in a bowl, add 1/4 cup of water to it and stir the flour liquid mixture well.
Apply the prepared breadfruit balls with this flour-liquid mixture and then spread them in breadcrumbs and make balls.
Now fry these prepared balls in oil heated pan for about five to six minutes until golden.
These breadfruit balls can be prepared any time a meal is served. They are really crispy and very tasty. I especially think this is perfect for lunch at any party. It goes especially well with white rice and yellow rice.
