That's why we can always find baby jackfruit. This is why today I thought I should make a delicious curry with baby jackfruit. So let'ssee how to make it.
Ingredients;
- 250g of baby jackfruit pieces
- Curry leaves
- About half a medium sized ripe tomato
- Usually about half of a large onion
- About three cloves of garlic
- About a few pieces of pandan leaves
- About a few pieces of cinnamon
- Two full teaspoons of chilli powder
- Two full teaspoons of cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of pepper powder
- A full teaspoon of salt cubs
- Two tablespoons of oil
- Two dry chili pods
- A green chili pod
- Half teaspoon of turmeric powder
- Half cup of thick coconut milk
- A cup of melted Coconut milk
The method of making;
First of all add turmeric powder to melted coconut milk and stir.
I boiled these pieces of baby jackfruit by removing the skin from a baby jackfruit, cutting them into small pieces and boiling them in a pot of water for about an hour and a half.
Put these boiled baby jackfruit pieces in a bowl with turmeric added milk and keep it for about 15 minutes.
In the meantime let's prepare the other ingredients required. For that, cut the onion into very thin pieces. Crush the garlic. dry chillies and green chilies and cut into desired size.
This baby jackfruit curry is very tasty if cooked in a clay pot. Now add these two pieces of coconut oil to a pot on the stove and heat it..
Add crushed garlic, chopped onion with cinnamon pieces to it.
Reduce the flame to medium and add cumin powder and chilli powder and fry well for about one and a half minutes, till the color turns to medium brown.
Then add curry leaves, pandan leaves with dry chillies pieces and stir all well.
Now add milk with jackfruit pieces to pot.
Add green chillies.
Add pepper powder.
Add salt to it.
Stir all this well and cook it for about ten minutes in normal flame.
After about ten minutes, add thick coconut milk and cook for another three to four minutes.
At the end add the tomato pieces and turn off the stove and keep it on the stove for about five minutes and remove it from the stove.
