Wild Garlic Pesto

in Plant Power (Vegan)2 years ago (edited)

Hi plant lovers🍃🌳

Today I would like to show you the recipe for Wild Garlic Pesto .

We visited some friends in Central Balkan Mountains some weeks ago for a May Dance Celebration.

The forest is predominat by beech trees , moist atmosphere and wild garlic (Allium ursinum) growing all over the forest.

Unfortunately we didnt take pictures of the harvest in the forest.

Wild Garlic has a poison alike plant, call Lily of the Valley (Convallaria majalis) ,which it is said to affect the muscles of the heart.
Its easy to confuse them because of their similar leaves.

The smell is a clue in the identification.

While wild garlic has a strong fragance like onion or garlic, getting stronger when rub, the Lily of the Valley lack that smell.

Once the flowers blossom the difference is also clear.

When we were in the forest, gypsies were also collecting, all the family gather together, harvesting a lot of wild garlic and making their van full for sell in the local market.
We helped them to carry some of their bags, how heavy there were... After we sat down together and chat about life.

Once back at home, I started clean the wild garlic with water, separate the flowers, remove some old leave and slightly cut it.

Hive Power Up Day - June 1st 2023

Hi @thepromisedland, welcome to the Plant Power (Vegan) community!

You have brought a classic to vegan cooking, with this wild garlic pesto.

Now, if you read our community rules, you will see that we do not allow the use of photos that are not user-authored, and we see that you have taken photos from image banks.

On the other hand, we do not observe the step by step of this recipe, which must go in photos and text.

Likewise, we see a notable difference between the photo with the chopping board and the final packaged product.

Therefore, we suggest you delete all the photos that are not your own, and include the step-by-step photos of your recipe, but that are made by you. In these photos, you must include a minimum of three, where you appear preparing your recipe.

Next, we share a post where we offer users some guidelines for making written posts in the community, and we also invite you to read our community rules.

While you edit your post, we will proceed to mute it. When you have edited, you make us a comment to unmute it.

Thank you.

Thank you for the advices and guidelines.
Next time I will consider them closely.
Unfortunately I did not have pictures of the plant and the step by step making so I understand if the post stays muted because I did it 12 days ago and I can not provide new edition just delete the references.
I hope for future post pictures of the step by step making is enough with the hands doing the process because the promised land prefers to keep the anonimato.
Thank you once again to help improving🙏🌻🌲
