Nutritious Swiss chard with red bell pepper and ginger. (Eng-Esp)

Today I bring you this easy to prepare and very healthy recipe, it is chard with red bell pepper and ginger, ideal for a garnish for a main dish or just for dinner, chard brings us many nutrients, it has a high content of vitamins, A, C and K, fiber and antioxidants, plus iron, which makes it ideal for inclusion in the daily diet. So go ahead and prepare it.


Hoy les traigo esta receta fácil de preparar y muy saludable, se trata de acelgas con pimiento rojo y jengibre, ideal para guarnición de un plato principal o simplemente para cenar, las acelgas nos aportan muchos nutrientes, tiene un alto contenido en vitaminas, A, C y K, fibra y antioxidantes, además de hierro, lo que la hace ideal para incluirla en la dieta diaria.  Así que anímate a prepararla.

300 grams of chard, 01 red bell pepper, 01 onion, 01 teaspoon of ground garlic, 01 teaspoon of turmeric, 01 tablespoon of soy sauce, 01 teaspoon of grated ginger, salt and pepper to taste.


300 grs de acelga, 01 pimiento rojo, 01 cebolla, 01 cucharadita de ajo molido, 01 cucharadita de cúrcuma, 01 cucharada da de salsa de soja, 01 cucharadita de jengibre rallado, sal y pimienta al gusto.

The first thing to do is to wash the vegetables well. Separate the chard leaves from the stems, cut them into pieces as well as the onion and paprika and grate the ginger. Then, in a pot with water, cook the chard stems until soft. Drain them once cooked and set aside.


Lo primero que hay que hacer es lavar bien las verduras. Separa las hojas de acelga de los tallos, córtalas en trozos al igual que la cebolla y el pimentón y ralla el jengibre. A continuación, en una olla con agua, cocer las pencas de acelga hasta que estén blandas. Escurrirlas una vez cocidas y reservar.

In a frying pan put oil and when it is hot fry the onion for a few seconds, then add the paprika, stir and leave a few seconds more to add the stems and finally the chard leaves.


En una sartén ponemos aceite y cuando esté caliente sofreímos la cebolla unos segundos, a continuación añadimos el pimentón, removemos y dejamos unos segundos más para añadir las pencas y por último las hojas de acelga.

Season with salt, pepper, ground garlic, soy sauce, turmeric and grated ginger, mix and cook over low heat for a few minutes until the chard is tender and all the flavors are infused.


Sazonar con sal, pimienta, ajo molido, salsa de soja, cúrcuma y jengibre rallado, mezclar y cocer a fuego lento durante unos minutos hasta que las acelgas estén tiernas y todos los sabores se hayan integrados.

And ready to serve. We can enjoy it as a garnish with vegetable meat, vegetables, bread or with the garnish of your preference. Enjoy your meal.
