Today being valentine's day, I prepared many things for my family and one of them is this mushroom sandwich.
Though they aren't vegans, they loved the sandwich so much.
Valentine's day isn't just about gifts, but rather about putting smiles on the faces of those you love and value. I felt glad that my family loved the mushroom sandwich, especially my sister.

I found this recipe online and took a screenshot of it and today i decided to make it for everyone.
This recipe isn't just delicious but it's also healthy.
I couldn't find freshly harvested mushroom in the market because it isn't mushroom season yet. So I used the canned mushrooms, which don't make much of a difference; it's just that they were preserved.
One thing l love about this mushroom sandwich is that it was well-spiced and very delicious. most importantly, my family was happy when they ate it.

How to prepare

To prepare this sandwich, it takes about 20 minutes or less, it's very easy to make.

I began by opening the can of the mushroom and then dicing the mushroom to my desired shapes (tiny).

Then i washed the fresh tomatoes and sliced them into round shapes. I don't know why i choose the round shape, but i think it's perfect for the sandwich.

I added thyme to my diced mushrooms, i also added salt and garlic and stirred it very well.
I love adding thyme to my dishes because it tastes great and is very flavorful. I enjoy adding it to any dish that i plan to fry. It gives me that perfect result.

I poured my groundnut oil into my pot and fried my mushrooms.
I fried them untill they slightly changed color (brown).

Now it's time to assemble my sandwich. Oh wait! I have to slice my bread in half.
I sliced the bread into triangle shapes. I just love that shape; i think it is perfect for my sandwich.

Now let's assemble the sandwich! i filled the first layer with my fried mushrooms, then the second layer with my round shaped tomatoes, the third with my mushroom and forth with my tomatoes.

After assembling, i poured the same oil i used for frying my seasoned mushroom on the top. The oil had a sweet taste, so I decided to drizzle a little on the sandwich.

My mushroom sandwich is ready and l enjoyed it with my family.
