Greetings everyone and welcome to my blog
Recently, i decided to prepare my dry cassava flakes in a total different way. I decided to incorporate some unique ingredients with my dry cassava flakes, instead of preparing it in the normal local way.
Dry cassava flakes is somewhat similar to noodles, making it easy for me to experiment with it.
It is light, it is very nutritious and also,it has no preservatives, making it the perfect choice for anyone who want to eat a healthy plant-based food without preservatives.
Here is a detailed process of how i creatively prepared this dish.
- 2cups of dry cassava flakes
- a handful of curry leaf
- half cup of cashew nuts
- half teaspoon of salt
- half cup of non-dairy milk
Soak the dry cassava flakes
The cassava flakes was sun-dried ,meaning is strong. To loosen it ,i poured a boiling water to it and allowed it to seat for 5-7 minutes.
Then transfer to a sieve or strainer to remove the excess water.
Grind the cashew nut
Aside cashew nut, any nut of your choice can be used. I had cashew nut, so i decided to use it.
I transferred the cashew nut to a mortar, and pound it to powder or almost powder form. Then i set it aside.
Grind the curry leaf
Grinding the curry leave helps to release that amazing flavor and taste. You can use fresh basil leaves in the absence of curry leaf. I washed and transferred my curry leaf to the mortar and pound it to paste.
Combining the ingredients
I added a little water to the curry leaf, then went in with my cashew nuts. Stirring continually and then gradually went in with the half cup of milk.
Now, it's time to add the cassava flakes. I added the cassava flakes, stirring and combining the ingredients together. Then i added half teaspoon of salt to it ,thereby releasing the taste.
My creamy, flavorful and amazing cassava flakes is ready!
I served it alone and enjoyed it with a chilled soft drink.
You can enjoy it with fried plantains or anything that seems fit to you.
At first, i never knew, how it was going to turn out. so i was a bit scared. I've seen someone prepare something like this but not with dry cassava flakes.
It did turn out amazing, i assure you.
The cashew nut added richness to the food. It gave out a creamy, nutty flavor to the dish, just perfect for anyone who love incorporating nuts to his dish.
The curry leaf brought out this unique aroma, it brought out this refreshing herbal taste.
Together, the entire ingredients made the dish worth trying.
Tell me,do you love my recipe?,will you try it?.
Thanks for visiting.
