Stir fried noodles garnished with fried ripe plantains

When it comes to noodles, a simple creativity in the kitchen can turn simple ingredients to an exciting dish.
Today I'm happy to share with everybody a delightful delicacy that I whipped up with a little amount of creativity.

Stir fried noodles garnished with golden fried ripe plantains is a dish that brings together the savory, spicy and sweet.
It is a dish that brings the natural sweetness and caramelized flavor of fried ripe plantains with the soft, comforting, sweet and spicy noodles.

This is the one recipes that i would always make, whenever i have ripe plantains and that's because my family loves it.

Below is a step-by-step procedure of how i made this sweet savory delicacy.

The required Ingredients

Main ingredient

  • 200g of noodles
  • 3 pieces of ripe plantains

Other ingredient

  • 1cup of groundnutoil for frying the plantains and cooking

  • a handful of fresh pepper

  • a teaspoon of blended natural spice

  • 1 meduim sized onions

  • enough water for cooking

How i prepared it

Cooking the Noodles

I started by boiling the noodles using a clean pot and clean water, i boil the noodles until it became soft.
I added half of my natural blended spice, half of tge pounded pepper and after some time,
I drained out the excess water and set aside.
I added a little drizzle of oil to keep them from sticking together.

Frying the ripe plantains

I washed and peeled the ripe plantains, then cut it into cubes and fried them in a hot groundnut oil.
I fried ripe plantains till each cube turned golden and cripsy on the outside while the inside retained its soft texture.

slicing the onions and pounding the pepper

I washed the onions and the fresh pepper using a clean water.
I sliced the onions to my desired shape and then pound the pepper and set aside.

Preparing the sauce

In a heated pot, l added 3tablespoons of groundnutoil and sauteed the onions until fragrant. Then i stirred in fresh pepper and tomato paste allowing it to unleash its goodness.
I also added the remaining natural blended natural spice to elevate its taste and sweetness.
Afterwards, i poured the noodles into the pot and stirred fried it , allowing the ingredients to distribute round the noodles.

Adding the fried plantains

I added half of the fried plantains into the noodles, remaining half for plaiting.

I stirred the noodles together with the fried plantains and removed them from heat.

Results


I love this dish not just because it's nourishing but aso because it exposes different flavors and great textures.

The caramelized, sweet fried ripe plantains complement the spicy and savory noodles.
The sauteed onions brought out great flavor while the oil add depth.
