Thanks for your post. I've been practicing NVC for several years now, and have been focusing a lot on making it non-obvious. I like the terms "enjoy, prefer, value" when expressing needs, in order to make my communications less jargon-y. And, I love mining for the needs behind others' expression, because I observe and believe that it helps others (and myself) to become more aware of what's behind our strategies.
In sum: NVC ROCKS!!!
