Dear December, welcome!
We have been waiting for your arrival with delight as you are the month of advent, hope, lights, smiles, feasts, family reunions and decorations. You are the month of hugs, gifts, charity, and meetings but also of farewells and endings. In many places worldwide you are covered with a soft white blanket of snow. In the frozen worlds, fairies turn your days into ice spectacles that shine under the starlight. The cold takes our breath away but at the same time purifies it, cleanses it - it prepares the new times that begin with Christmas and the festivities of celebrating the New Year. That same cold makes us take out our coats, gloves, and scarves from the closets... We could even review our collections of the same, and who knows, maybe we can wear every day different shawl to warm up our chests if our collection is wide enough.
To be fair, there are also places in the world where it is hot while you reign, where people welcome Christmas in short sleeves and perhaps on the beach. Too much sun, no problem: we can protect our heads from the sun's rays with a thin scarf. We should simply open our closets and drawers and find these useful garments. Nothing better than now, in your month dear December.
My letter to December revealed to you the official theme that we will have in the Hive Collectors community during this whole month:
Scarves, shawls, bandanas...
I use scarves many times as a fashion detail that complements a too-simple blouse under a jacket. When it's colder, shawls have another important role - to keep me warm and not to catch a cold. Colours and designs are important to combine nicely with the rest of your clothes, but the truth is that I didn't choose any of these scarves that you see in my post. Not one. And do you know why? Well, because I received all of them as gifts. Most often from students but also from my boss, from the choir with which I perform many times, from family members and friends. That is how my scarves and shawls became a collection, I kept all of them and this is the day they arrived to show themselves.
Oh no, this is just a messy display to witness how many there are. Let's correct this presentation - they will try to come in a more organized way, hanging from a rack. There is just one issue with that - all of them could not have a place at once on the rack, so my scarves arrive in a few batches. The first nine...
...then nine more...
It wasn't even my intention to place exactly nine of them; I just realized it later when I counted them already from the photo. The last batch does arrive as a separate part, those that are a bit heavier and warmer. These are for the coldest days:
I really like how fluffy this colourful shawl is. I got it from the members of the choir last December and soon it will be time to wear it again. December just started and I assume I will need it.
So. if you like the theme for December and have any kind of neckwear, shawls, scarves... let's see them as a collection. 😇
And what should we (men) do, who do not wear scarves, and even if we have a scarf, we have one or two? Are we skipping december?

This summer, when I was at my parent's home, I found in my niece's wardrobe that little black dress with white flowers - when this whole "flower jokes" started 😁. Too bad I was in a hurry that day and didn't have time to try it out, just out of curiosity, do I still fit into it...

I lived 6 years in a country where there were stations, and the truth is that this accessory, besides being useful, adds a nice plus to the wardrobe.
They are all beautiful, you have very good taste, I find it very difficult to choose which one is the prettiest, but certainly the fluffy one is one of the best.
The fluffy one is so nice, I like it but also many others - the white one as it goes well with everything, then the one from the first photo, then the red with flowers - that is enjoyable to wear. Having different seasons, as you say, makes the scarves useful ;)

What a beautiful collection and how many. For me shawls, scarves and scarves give a touch of elegance especially in December and in the cold months and to protect us also from a cold. I have a few scarves and shawls and use them a lot when I go out to important meetings and receptions. It's not as cold here, but I always look for an opportunity to wear them. December is a month of celebrations, but also of nostalgia for me because part of the family is far away. Greetings friend and happy week.🤗🥰❤️

I have one yellow winter scarf and one green made of very thin fabric. I like them both and I barely use any of them :D
I was not aware of how many I had, but the moving made me organize them and put them all in one place. Surprise hahaha

It's nice you tried to sort them by color😊. I really never knew those were called shawls before lol, I would call them all scarfs. Maybe it's cuz in Nigeria we only get harmattan. It's a dry weather with lots of sun and somewhat short-lived cold very early in the mornings. That's our December weather here. I'm happy to be here again, there's so much I'd like to catch up and catch you up on 🤧... Very pleased to catch you again mipiano :)

I could borrow some of your scarf for this season if you let me 🫣. I am in love with the fluffy multicoloured, I use to have a lot of scarf too but some of my friends have taken ownership of most them, the few left I have Hidden. I would have to bring them out as this is its period of use.
