Sweet Life! Now that can really be applied to this post, or at least to its title. We will treat a sweet topic here.
🍭
Lately, I haven't been adding sugar to my coffee at home. I can better distinguish and enjoy the flavours of the coffee itself if I drink it without the sweet addition. However, when we travel, my husband and I share a small package of sugar between the two of us for coffee, I guess it's a custom already. There were so many places where we stopped, so many coffees, and with that, so many small packages of sugar. A cute little collection has been created, quite accidentally by bringing some of them home!
Cool, isn't it?
Perfect for this month's official theme in our Collectors' Community. 🍬
Some of these tiny paper bags came from our previous trips. One by one, I will introduce the country they come from. Let's start.
Last year started with a road trip to Portugal. We drove through the south of Spain and visited a few coastal towns like Almería, Málaga, Tarifa, Cádiz, and Huelva. Then we arrived in Portugal where we visited Lisbon, Nazaré and Porto. To be honest, I don't remember which city or stop between cities I took this little package of sugar from, but it came to my home from that trip.
Our route when we go on vacation to visit our families always includes Italy and France. Big countries, for sure. It means a lot of stops and a lot of coffee. These are from Italy:
From France:
One from Serbia. The translation of these words is energy for living. We always need that, of course, and sometimes it comes from a good cup of coffee with the exact amount of sugar in it. :)
Even though I am only in Spain and find a sugar packet next to my coffee with an interesting message, I like to read it. Some of them I took home, but I remember there were many more in my coffee cups. Those who were lucky enough to survive and come home are here now:
Small acts can change the world... I think I can agree with that as well with the one that says that we are what we choose to be. The same happened with this official theme for August in the Hive Collectors Community. I chose it to treat a sweet topic as I saw and tasted so many sweet grains of sugar through these small packages.
But, the topic is actually quite free, as if you like you can bring any collection of yours that is connected to something sweet... A collection of chocolate papers, biscuit boxes, packages of candies...a collection of homemade cookies or anything else you consider as sweet. Be creative and look around you, what is that sweetens your life? It maybe doesn't have to be edible... Dolce vita, in any sense.
Unfortunately I don´t collect anything (apart from Hive and Bitcoin 😄).
Well, what better than that? Collecting Hive and Bitcoin can bring a very nice Dolce Vita 😉
Yes, that´s the plan, just a few years until then...
What a great collection. Having fun doing so too, is all good.
That's the thing, to enjoy the slow process of doing something, even though sometimes these collections create themselves without me realizing it hahaha. 😂
A very sweet and beautiful collection because of the designs, too bad I don't have these
Thank you @yolimarag 😉
I am sure you collect other things that are sweet or have a connection with that flavour 🍭🍬
Aah that if jejejej
I went to set up my Flannel collection in the collectors community and I got the wrong community hehe about anyway I'll leave my post here for you to see 😋

We are what we choose to be! I love that one! And the last one hahaha I love it when they have positive and motivating phrases.
New collection and super cute!
Thinking about .... sweet things hahaha I'll come up with something for sure! Great idea!😃
Of course you can come up with something sweet... I said it was quite a free topic :D The ones with the motivating messages are worth taking them home 😁
I have something... in which sweet things come and they are artistic.... always gives me food for thought.🤣
Lately: No Suagr! You Go Girl!
...and you also spot the benefits of leaving sugar far away from coffee
» the subtleties of coffee can be detected with our senses
» an additional collection created which lead to this HIVE collection challenge
You arrived home? Your former home I mean?
"Lately" is a tricky word hahaha - I just treated myself and my son (the other one, the smaller one 😜) with ice cream 🍦😂
Yes, thank you, we arrived 😊
I hope you all NJOYed the ice cream.
I guess, I have to visit my mom and stepdad, again.
When I am with them, it is my only time I eat ice cream. My stepdad simply loves ice cream. I suspect he eats it all the time. Though he tells me he goes ice cream mode when he has visitors only.
NJOY HOME! and hi to the rest of the family.
Of course we enjoyed the ice cream, though I refused it today as I will go back to Spain wearing clothes at least one size bigger than I usually do if I eat ice cream every day...
But we are treated with fruits, cakes, and cookies, apart from all other food every day so I don't know how this will end 😂
Visiting your mom and stepdad is not a bad idea, right? Then he can enjoy the ice cream too more often, in the "justified" way as you are there ;D
Got some of those from the hotel we stayed, lol..
It's fun collecting those with messages.. sometimes they make sense haha
!LADY
Some weeks ago we had a cup of coffee and tea with a friend of mine, and some packets with messages came with our cups. One was regular, we didn't agree with the message so we left it there hahaha but the other one made sense. It landed in the pocket of my bag 😁
Same. I usually discard those I don't like haha
Owww... Beautiful and "sweet" collection ;) ... I remembered my father, he used to travel quite often and used to bring home dozens of those little bags of sugar and/or sweeteners... Then I, as a kid, would sneak them open and eat the sugar! :))
Nice post, thanks for sharing!

I can imagine you as a bit mischievous kid lol 😁
But that is sweet ;P
Thank you @jlinaresp 😇
Italian coffee, latte macchiato..yes please.
:)
Grande o piccolo? 😂
that was also what they asked me, but I know how small is the piccolo in Italy, like one drop and it wakes you up from the death haha
Very neat you had the mindset to keep these. It makes for a good no cost survineer 😊 I'd think most would just value for what's in the pouch and wouldn't really pay attention to any of the written text. Hmm I will have to do some looking but no guarantees I will find the theme of the month.
A no cost souvenir indeed... and which actually you can use later when you have a sugar shortage :D so it is useful too, but then the collection is getting smaller 😂
You can think about other sweet things you can make a collection from... ice cream would not be a bad idea...?
CAUTION!!
The blog isn't good for any person with diabetes, so sweet it is.
Lemme check what other sweet things I have than sweet people around me.
I know 😂 hahahaha
I had to put that in the beginning of the post, that warning.
Sweet things surround us, just to spot them ;)
With a sweet theme, could it also be a small collection of mini cats in their little houses? 👀
As Buhito is sour, I don't have many sweet things around hahaha 😂
Anything that makes your life sweet 😉
Oh, but look, there are also songs that treat this topic and could be used as a collection... just a hint ;)
Hi. I love your port, what gives sweetness to my life is my son Julito. But the sugar packets you show are very useful not to add more than necessary and look how curious those with nice and intelligent messages. Not long ago I had several that I kept in my wallet. I remember almost a year ago I was in Havana for the HiveCubacom event. @nanixxx took us to an ice cream shop and we also had coffee and they gave several packets of sugar for each cup, I used one and kept others, so I was accumulating packets. But now sugar is in short supply around here and I had to get them out. I love how you have a nice story about everything.
Then it was a very good idea to take those little packets that you didn't use in the meeting. I hope they can be useful and also that the situation in your country will become better one day. 🙏
Little Julito - children of course make our lives sweeter, there is no doubt in that! Thank you @yanerkidiaz for reading and commenting 😇
They are so cool 😎
Cute some have messages on them. Never looked that close actually.
I have a collection from my travels, will have to check them out to see the differences.
Have a wonderful day 👋🏻
Hi Jackie 😀
I can imagine the number of cups of coffee and sugar packets you had during all your trips 😁 It can be a huge collection, I am sure!
Thank you, and a great day to you too 😇
A lot…. Hahaha but it resulted not always in taking some sugar 😉
Thanks a lot!
These collections look good
The only thing I love to collect is money😅
I like coffee. Have you also tasted Gayo Coffee?
