When it comes to contest questions, @selfhelp4trolls is one of those that want to see you being very descriptive in your entries. He loves stories, he wants to read something real and he expects every entrant to have fun with the questions.
Thankfully, I don't have a problem whenever it comes to going into details so, let's dive into Cross Culture Questions (CCQ#1).
1. What is something that you learned about the world from being on Hive?
I've learned a lot about the world, but I will approach this from a geographical point. Yeah, timezone and whatnot.
If you've ever interacted with someone from another timezone, you will notice that a lot of things can go south from the first sentence you type or say. Imagine saying good morning to someone in Australia just because it's morning in Nigeria. Hehe.
It's a very common error and nobody will be blamed for committing that error. Not until you meet @sunnyag. He spent a long time in Canberra and we often tease each other about the timezone differences whenever we chat. As time goes on, I got to know my Onion about the timezone. PST, EST...name it. It's a lot easier to do the conversion now than ever.
2. What is something that you learned about yourself from being on Hive?
I'm kind
I'm honest
I'm intelligent (if I wanna be)
I'm dis...and dat!
Yeah, I'm all these, but I've always known that about myself since the first day I was born. Hehe.
Here is something I learned about myself from being on Hive,
"When it comes to trouble, I'm the biggest troublemaker'"
I wouldn't want to tag many people to confirm that claim, but if you hop into DreemPort's Discord Server, you will see for yourself.
3. What are the cultural demographics of your hive relationships.
Not sure if I have a simple answer to this. I can at least try to simplify it in a complex way. Watchout for the display of collective complexity.
I'm a Nigerian and I have interacted with a lot of my countrymen (not gender-specific) on here. I also have a lot of Pakistans in my good book. Whenever I think of the Philippines, @patjules83 comes to mind. Some are also from Venezuela and co.
FTR, The Americans are not left out. Hehe.
I can't categorically summarise this info, but if I must try, I would go for 15% Nigerian, 75% rest of the world.
Told Ya.
This was a tough call 😂.
4. What are the other demographics of your close relationships at Hive?
This is a simple question that demands a simple answer, and mine goes as follows;
A quality content deserves a quality comment and a quality comment deserves a quality reply.
That's it. I don't have all the time in the world to devote to being on here, so, you can only imagine how awkward it would feel to read a post and leave a good comment behind without getting a reasonable reply.
Thanks for reading.
Thanks for commenting.
Thanks.
Lol... Give the 'thanks' a darn rest. You can be thankful by giving reasonable feedback to comments.
Take a good look at @dreemsteem @selfhelp4trolls @josediccus @samsmith1971 and co. They are busy with a million stuff, but they always take an extra moment to give reasonable replies to all reasonable comments made on their posts.
We got to know each other through quality and genuine interaction.
5. Which friend from Hive has taught you the most about another culture?
What comes to mind when you hear Pakistan?
Before coming online, I completely believed the things I saw on news headlines. These journalists tell a lie as if it's the truth even after swearing an oath.
Due to all the lies, I blindly believed that Pakistan is a deadland where war cries are heard 24/7. I thought they are the type that always thinks of detonating a bomb for detonation sake. Hehe.
Weird me!
Kene, get a grip!
(aka Anabiya or Weird Pathani or Pashtoless Pathani or...🤐) is one of those who opened my eyes about Pakistans. Those Pakistans are one of the best you can ever cross paths with. For the record, I have a lot of Pakistans who I Interact with almost every day. You'd be surprised to know the level of trust I have for them. @saira777
@ayesha-malik and @amberkashif are also doing well. They are reppin Pakistans well and they are always ready to prove that Pakistans are nice beings.
6. How did you find your favourite people at Hive?
It just happens!
We all have the same 24 hours per day so, I won't whine about not having enough time, but whenever I'm free, I read from those I'm following and also explore new content from people that are new to me.
The starting point of all my connections is in the interaction. Even if a post is poorly written with a lot of enjambment and poorly edited texts, it won't stop me from reaching out and connecting with such people. As far as the person gives good feedback (not necessarily in agreement with my opinion), he can climb the ladder and be one of my favourites.
Also, be ready to take a joke.
Yeah, I'm that troublesome.
7. Have you had any confusion, difficulty or surprise when talking to someone from another culture on Hive?
Yeah... This is where I will have to mention this special lady, @marito74 from the seaside of Margarita in Venezuela. Hehe. This lady gives me warm virtual hugs every time I come across her in the comment section. Haha. 🤗
Back to the question, this may sound more like economics than Culture related, but that's all I can think of at the moment.
So, I've always known that $$$ is a strong currency in comparison to some other currencies out there.
Take Nigeria for an example, $1 = #500 and its impact on the standard of level is very noticeable. If you don't understand the effect of a weak currency in this interconnected world, I suggest you develop an interest in that.
Knowing how tough things are over here, you can only imagine my disbelief when I heard @marito74's story about the issues in Venezuela. It prompted me to go into research and I got to realise that their Currency is very low in the pecking order.
No offence meant to Venezuela or Venezuelans.
I have great respect for y'all. Take this from someone who has more than a fair share of the downside of having a weak currency.
Hugs to my dear Venezuelan. Mucho Amor 😊
8. What community would you like to see grow at Hive?
Another simple question that demands a simple answer. Hehe
Cross Culture Community is one of them.
Call me sentimental👂. IDC. Haha.
On the side, you can try to get in touch with the brain behind the said Community.
You'd know that hearing from the horses mouth is still a thing. Eh?
I will tell you this for free, Crossculture Community have a hard-working dude in the person of @selfhelp4trolls as the owner of the community.
"The guy has big plans for the community."
You can ring my Tel. to know more.
たくさんの愛 @selfhelp4trolls & @crossculture

Hahah... Weirdooooo. My weirdest Spammer 😂.
Better get back to writing. Haha. Miss your Spammy Emojis 😏
You Pakistans, especially those from Punjab district, are fabulous and interesting people. Haha.
But but 🙃 for your Kind information I'm from kpk side not punjab 🙃
I know... That's why you are a spammer 😂.
Always speaking Urdu with no knowledge of Pashto.
"A Pashtoless Pathani"... That's you 😂
Hahaha Lot's of love , caught the message. 24 hours is not enough. Pakistan is another country I have to learn more about. Venezuela is up there with Nigeria in the countries I learned way more than I ever anticipated because of the sheer number of great people who have joined Hive. I'm sure there are great people everywhere but somehow Hive has spread like wildfire in some places and not others.
I will make it over to dreemport as I know it's how you (and a lot of other people I get along with) found this community.
Hahah... Lots of Love Bro. You are doing to well and I'm glad to see all your plans coming to fruition. I'm also looking out for Crossculture Community because I enjoy interacting and knowing more about various Cultures.
Everything I thought I knew about Pakistan was a lie. Currently, I know so much about the country and I know some words in their language. Hehe. I didn't even need to do a research. All I did was to chat with Pakistans and they are all Fabulous and loveable.
Same as Venezuela.
Hard-working people are all over the world and I'm glad that I'm getting a more refined perception after interacting with these people.
I would like to physically interact with these people and also visit all part of the world. Heheh... ALL.
Thanks for your good work. I appreciate it ✌️
This was so brilliantly you, Kene. Intelligent, warm, charming, funny. I can't wait to meet you IRL hehe. Until one takes the time to reach out and connect with others, we really do not know or understand the context within which they live or survive. Even then, it takes time and plenty of interaction to start to get a real sense of what a person is like through consistent engagement, and to gain better insights into their culture, religion, background in general. I love this about Hive. I truly love how genuine engagement is reciprocated... most of the time hehe 💗 Thanks for the mention btw, but this is all I have tonight !LOLZ ... just put the boys to bed (another late one! Holidays I tell you...where does the time go???) and I still have some dreemporting to do too). 🙏

You are out of jokes for the day!
Level up by buying more $LOLZ so you can share more jokes per day!@samsmith1971 you can call @lolzbot a maximum of 2 times per day.
Which language is it ? 😶
Media can turn anything upside down. They just show what they want to show. Lol. You have already known much about Pakistan. I don't need to say much. 😇
Rofllll. .... troublemaker!!!! Isn't it something that you already know before coming to hive @kenechukwu97 😉.
Timezones....! Hmmmmm. Don't you remember GOODMORNOONEVE invention ....!
Lol... You should know that language. You are neighbors. Haha. Distant Neighbors. Lol.
Don't worry, I will be taking Hussain and Hunain to Japan. That will be on of the many languages they would be able to speak in due time. Hehe.
Yeah, the Media. Hmmm
Those people are underestimating the type of influence their works have on people.
I'm glad that I got to meet some natives from other part of the world. It changed my perspective in a lot of ways. Hehe.
GOODMORNOONEVE 😂.
It's already noon in your part of the world. Hehe.
Enjoy roti and Biryani 😋
Roti and Biryani.....!! It is not a combination 😝
I thought the language was Chinese. Lol. Students are now forced to learn Chinese here. My brother in his engineering corse had to clear a non credit course of 8 credit hours for obtaining his engineering degree 😂
Lol... I suggest he take it seriously. Hehe.
I would gladly learn Hangul (Korean language).
Enjoy the roti and Biryani.
Regards to the boys
This is so hilarious for me. I knew you can pull legs, you don't seem like a trouble maker to me.
And the Pakistanis are one of the best people you can cross-part with. They are so disciplined and cultured.
Nice entry.
Hahaha... Good evening Bro.
Leg pulling is never a problem.
As for rug pulling, that will stir up big issues 😂
Pakistan's are nice beings. I can boldly say that anywhere and everywhere. Heheh.
haha I admire you seriously, always so you, with that humor that characterizes you.I did not miss anything so you know haha and if I send you a big hug haha
Ahaaaa... A big hug from @marito74, all the way from the seaside of Margarita. Haha.
Stay happy.
Have fun.
Enjoy a peaceful life.
God will be your strength.
