A new year calls for a new cultural custom. A fresh piece of beauty to share with the world, displaying Ghanaian culture. This has always been our source of pride. Every time I give my followers on hive a taste of African culture, it feels great and exhilarating. Ghanaian culture, in particular, is constantly fresh and wonderful. Culture may assist growing youngsters in discovering their own identity and telling the world who they really are. As always, I am a proud Ghanaian with a culture that is distinct and lovely among all others.

This weekend, I had the opportunity to attend a wedding ceremony in Ghana's Ashanti area. Because the new year has just recently begun, there are several events and activities scheduled. These activities are scheduled to take place face to face, with all of the necessary covid-19 procedures in place. When it comes to such occasions as marriage ceremonies, people are overjoyed. This is the first marriage ceremony I've seen since the arrival of the new year 2022. And it arrived just on schedule.

Nana Obrempong, a family friend, happens to be the groom. His invitation came to me at the beginning of the just finished month of December. My plans and preparations were all in place to meet this extremely special occasion. This is the element of the Ghanaian wedding ritual that I admire the most. This is due to the fact that it exposes me to a wide range of customs and cultures. This is referred to as the traditional component of the complete marriage ritual. Most traditional marriages of this kind are followed by a white wedding, which is normally held on a separate day.

This marriage was full with Ghanaian tradition, as it usually is. Its beauty was all over the place and in everyone's faces. People dressed in a variety of ghanaian outfits displaying a wide range of ghanaian clothing. I'm especially interested in seeing the clothes of the bride and groom's entourage. The same clothing they wear to show their support for the couple is stunning and appealing.

In an Akan traditional marriage, the groom offers gifts necessary by the bride family in order to seek the bride in marriage. It's referred to as the "bride price". During the ritual, the groom gathers all of the items needed to seek the lady in marriage, which are brought by young girls dressed in a standard African garb. Even if this occurs, the elders do all of this to assist teach the next generation about the ancient ways. So they don't forget who they are. The ceremony always occur at the bride's family house.

The groom's garment is stunning, with all of the many Adinkra symbols of the Ashantis embroidered on it. He was dressed just like a Chief about to be enstooled. From the beginning to the finish of the event, the day was filled with beauty. My attention was drawn to the magnificent culture, which is usually portrayed via Ghanaian cuisine, clothes, language, and other means. I hope you liked the pleasure of my attendance at this wedding ceremony in Kumasi, Ghana.
