RE: Becoming a Japanese Influencer...? 日本語のインフルエンサーになる?

This is a coincidence. The other day I wrote a reply to one of your posts but decided not to post it for some reason. It was going to question whether you've thought about going the YouTube route (I think this was regarding the income side of things are the economy worsens and students dry up).

I think there's potential in making little videos and having English episodes that teach people simple words or phrases. You could make it more fun and inject parts of your day into it that could pertain to the words or themes, so it's still an adventure for you.

I think you should do it though, you have nothing to lose from trying something. You only lose when you stay idle and don't try. :^)

Sort:

Bro it’s a loooooot of work. If I didn’t have to actually teach I’d do it, but the way to catch people is to make vocabulary based videos and you’d need to make 3-4 a week to remain relevant. I don’t have two hours a day to put into this. Maybe a quarter of that.

If you want to handle all the video editing I will think about it 😆

But I would still want to make the long form about culture and society and Include pretty risqué opinions at times. For me English is fluffy work I need to do to survive and everything that gets people to change their habits and become more capable and confident and happy is the true passion. I just use English to get in the door.
