WHAT ARE CASH CROPS

Cash crops can be said to be crops that are grown to be sold so as to make profit. Most farmers make a living with cash crops, so the price of the cash crops depends on demand and also the distance is to be shipped and other factors, some of these common cash crops include, wheat, coffee beans and corn.

Nigeria is a country that has so many cash crops even before crude oil was discovered and its uses in Nigeria. One sector Nigeria was so good at then was the agricultural sector. Nigeria was based on agricultural products then, not until petroleum took the lead.

In Nigeria, our agricultural sector is gradually improving, thanks to the government for trying to revive this sector, but there is still need for industrial upgrade which could aim in making it easy and cheap for crop cultivation.

Hello @obikay. Glad to see your post on DreemPort. Our yam in the above image seems to be from a site that claims copyright but don't worry, the post is screened through at DreemPort since it's your first day at the Port. Hehe.

Hope to see more of your involvement with us.

Well Done

Thank you bro

Those are awesome crops. I often see yam being mentioned in other posts by fellow #dreemers here in Hive. It seems it is one of your country's staple food?

Hello @obikay, the information you present about commercial crops in Nigeria is very interesting, it was interesting. However, you present it as an academic work, did you take the information from some research source? If so, it would be very good if you mentioned it in some way in the post. But I would very much like to see the information you present but in a more personal way, remember that Hive is a Social Network, many greetings and my wishes of success for you 😃.

I'm not sure that yam photography is copyright free, rather I think it is not. If so, you must remove it or replace it with another that is.

Nigeria is blessed with so much food. I love maize

I did not know coffee was grown in Nigeria. Agriculture is vital for any country, if you can make your country self-sufficient and feed your people then you will be doing well.
This is an interesting topic, if I were you I would make it more personal, for example say which is your favourite and if you grow or know of anyone who has cash crops.
