"Haven can wait fantasy cinema"

We have covered a number of subgenres of fantasy now.

Today our topic is another sub-genre of fantasy films. It is called as Haven can wait. Named after the most famous of its movies, this subgenre concerns the adventures of a person who has died and, either in spirit form or by physically coming back, attempts to resolve unfinished issues in his or her life.

Sort:

There was an Indian movie called Chamatkar, where Nasirdun Shah was shown as the bad boy when he was alive. He gets murdered by his peers and then he return backs to help his family members

Yes, I guess I watched its translated Korean subtitles somewhere. Quite an interesting ghost, whom only protagonist can see and talk to

I guess this is quite an old cinema. It was hard to find out the trailers of this cinema though.

Name of this topic itself is very interesting. A film by the name "Heaven Can Wait was released in 1978 and I guess this was the beginning of calling such movies as the new genre.

Here is the trailer of the cinema that you have watched.

There are two movies by that name. The first film Heaven Can Wait (1943), staring Don Ameche and Gene Tierney, is based on the stage play "Birthday" (1935), written by Leslie Bush-Fekete.

Damn I'm so sorry to come here to share that movie in a so poetic genre.. But that's on my Ryan Reynolds' List.

R.I.P.D, the movie where Ryan Reynolds is a cop who have been killed during a mission and becomes a ghost cop to resolve another cosmic investigation.

Probably one of its first big movies which was not a failure even if it wasn't a huge success, which brang him where he is now, making tens of millions of $ each year.

Not a must watch, but not the worst blockbuster neither. !PIZZA

Yes Ryan Reynolds is really versatile. He was really entertaining in RIPD. Thanks for sharing this

Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! (2005) Bollywood Comedy features the same genre in which protagonist Shahid Kapoor unfortunately dies in accident but he had many unfulfilled family responsibilities which make him somehow come back on earth and do the needful. Its a light hearted family drama comedy with many child artists. Here is full movie on YouTube : !PIZZA
