Rural Drama is one of the significant aspect of the drama as a genre. This sub-genre centers on the trials and tribulations of farmers and other rural folks who try to make out a living from the soil. These films are often seen in India.
This type of drama also often pays close attention to the everyday lives and unique customs of remote rural communities.
Though the allure of the genre has waned some in the increasingly urban and suburban audiences of America, the rural drama remains relevant in Eastern Europe, China, and India where village life plays a prominent part in society.

Aamir Khan starrer Lagan was a great show in bollywood on the subject of rural drama. It was a cricket match depicting the rural culture of ancient India

Ain't no ifs, ands or buts about it: FARGO has to be near the the top of the list. Such a strangely quaint and funny (but very dark) drama... so dull and monotonous, and yet you can't take your eyes off of it. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't yet had the pleasure. 📽

I went to Google for ideas of rural dramas and the first option it showed was amazing.
Twilight is indeed a powerful drama... The drama of good actors that made a immense amount of money an awful movie saga but in exchange are now locked being remembered as those characters for the majority of people XD
No one despises twilight like the main cast of the movie and that is one of the most interesting dramas based on real events on a rural area that I have seen

The Nollywood movie "Up North" would be an excellent movie as it focuses on the Northern part of Nigeria and difficult in marriage
