CINETALKIES - Lets Talk Cinema [Detailed Overview]

in Cinetalkies3 years ago (edited)

This is the first issue of #cinetalkies initiative in the revised format. There are some interesting changes made in the new format from the previous.

Special Mention

When I announced the re-launch of the initiative there was a strange resistance from many community members, however @gogreenbuddy stood firm behind me. He not only offered the hive power but also inspired me to start the project and see the community reactions and today I am here with the first post.

Banner of the Initiative

Though the banner of this initiative will remain the same, every day there would be a different topic to be discussed. This banner was originally designed by @gimmetricks and later became the identity of this project.

Change in the posting format

This is an engagement project. Hence the comments are important. However, there was a lot of criticism from the community owners who feel that the template posts look spammy. Hence, this time the posts would be small but unique. Topic of the day would be elaborated in the post.
The discussions would happen around the cinema, movies, songs, actors, actresses, awards, web-series, controversies, net-worth and many other aspects affecting the cinema industry.

Single Vote and Multiple Tokens

The revised format is unique because of its commercials. Though there would be trails following the #cinetalkies account, the vote of @cinetalkies account would provide #BEE, #CINE, #VYB and #POB in a single vote. In future we may add some more tokens for the benefit of the contributors. There is a possibility that we may add up #cent and #ctp going ahead.

Value of the vote

  • Currently, the account has 5000 hive power, which translates into $0.210 at 100%.
  • 6500 POB power translates into a vote of roughly 3 POB or $0.135
  • 5000 VYB Power translates into a vote of approximately 1.8 VYB or $0.068
  • 20000 Cinepower translates into a vote of approximately 10 CINE $0.410
There is also BEE vote worth 0.5 BEE or $0.25. The total value of the vote goes above $1 for each comment. As the initiative becomes popular the value of the vote would increase as most of the rewards received from this initiative would be either distributed among the engagers or would be powered up.

Spammers not welcome

From the beginning of this initiative we are clear that the rewards are discretionary and there would not be any rewards for the spammers. We would be forced to downvote the spammers.

Starting Date

This initiative will kickstart from 1st February and daily a new idea would be given for discussion. Cinelovers across the world are welcome to join this initiative. More we engage, more we get rewarded.
Thank you for reading this post and looking for the support from the community to engage.

Lovely initiative, I've planned a Tweet about this revised concept. It will be published in a few hours from now. Keep up the good work! Engagement is key :)

The best part of the tweet is that more and more outside platform viewers would get on-boarded to hive and ultimately the value of the cine or hive token gets the support they desire.

Yes, I've seen the numbers go up really well the past weeks and there are nice initiatives being created so there will be more eyes on the account which will lead to more people joining Hive..

It is really a nice gesture from you my friend. I would look forward to see the same on twitter.

You're very welcome. Does cinetalkies have a Twitter account, or do you have one?

Right now most of the twitter related activity is handled from the original account of gimmetricks.

These are some of the impressive numbers in terms of staked tokens. Increase your stakes and distribute bigger votes. I just have one suggestion - try to change the title of the challenge daily so that there would be different permalinks

Yes, its more on the lines of curation cartels started by one-up. They have different accounts for the same purpose, whereas here is only one account distributing all the votes.

Hey - I've become a cinetv lover in the past two weeks. Just to clarify; at the moment I use #cinetv and #cine in my post. Should I also now start using #cinetalkies when I'm on posting cinetv/cine content? Thanks so much, looks awesome.

Currently the tag is not really moderated. But you can definitely use the same. I would be more than happy to support. Thank you for your interest.

Awesome; will make it one of my new tags ;)
Thanks for getting back to me. Tim

Sure, I will try to be more active on the tag, so that I dont really miss out on any of the developments under the tag. Thank you for giving me shoutout.

Great initiative! Excited to see more projects helping in its community engagement, awards quality content and discouraging spam.

Good work, we are looking forward to what the daily subject is going to be!

Looking forward to the new format and increased levels of engagment so we can all enjoy our passion for discussing movies, film, television, all the magnificent magic that comes with it!

I will be very honest. I was always a fan of Korean movies but never learned so much more about it before I started taking this initiative seriously. There is a good reason to participate here. We all like cinema and try to learn more about it. With the challenges and questions that come here it helps to mature your thoughts.

Looking for more involvement of the moderators to increase the reach of the initiative. Finally we have decided to go ahead with the smaller posts introducing the topics and I am sure these would not be spammy. There would be nothing common except banner of the initiative to make it identifiable.

This is cool... I like how CineTv are doing so many things at the same time with the aim of promoting this Fabulous Community.

For me, I will actively participate while bringing my Kdramas for everyone to watch and enjoy 😂😂

It would be great if you can add comments about the k-drama to #cinetalkies initiative so that it would easier for the moderators to track the engagement and to reward you for the same.

Yeah... Already did.

I need to set-up Gina so tht I won't miss any post from Cinetalkies.

Nice one from you all ✌️

I'm wondering. Even if there is a question or a challenge or something on the post. Would that be possible to do something else like just recommending a movie we liked for exemple ?

Let's imagine yesterday I watched a movie I really loved but I don't want to make a full post about it, would the new cinetalkies be the right place to make something like a 100-150 word comment to share the movie to other people ?

Dont worry friend we will make out some work around for you to make comments about your favorite cinema. You have really been a great contributor and I always liked what you posted

Yes the topics are quite general and there is always a scope to write and recommend the movies that you have liked. However, the reach of the comment is always limited to the original post readers

Great thinking. I am still a newbie in Cine community, but I would love to see more people getting engaged with, especially the interaction with cinephiles from around the world.
Lookng forward for it.
Cheers!
