Here and there: Two

in Shit Photography6 days ago

Sometimes shit just sticks around and with that in mind I thought it was time for part two of my here and there post concept which takes some totally shit photography from a few of the places I've been and collects them in one place; I know, it's a lot of shit on one location but that's ok I think, that's what this community is for, shit photography.

Part two comes at you from a totally non-shit location called New Zealand (again).

I loved my time in New Zealand which focused on the less-populated South Island. If you like awesome places and you haven't been there yet, you really should; conversely, if you like shit places then you'd better stay the fuck away and go to somewhere else, or stay where you are - whatever works for you I guess.

The hero of this post is the shit photography, not my words which originate in my brain - only the size of a jelly bean - so rather than write more than required I'll stop. If you want to comment you can.

Rugged and picturesque - two ingredient recipe for some of the best shitography opportunities to be had on the planet. Talk about your scenic railways! That would be a great way to see the countryside, I would think. It really would be worth more than a single visit...I mean, how could you see it all in one go?

It's certainly that for sure and somewhere I could (and will) spend a lot of time as I'm planning to return for a longer trip. The railway I went on as pictured is out of Dunedin on the South Island and was only a day thing but it was really nice, took us up to a small town via mountains and valleys and all. Really nice for sure.

I'm glad you liked these shit photos. 😊

Even a day trip would be sweet...I could just look out the window all day at the scenery lol

That's what it was like for sure. There's just so much beautiful scenery to see and I'm content with that...and in finding opportunities to use my shit photography skills.

Question: Most scenic place you've been? (I'd have trouble answering this, so many options.)

I would be a huge disappointment as I have never been out of the u.s. I would have loved to see many places in my younger days but never got the opportunity to go. I did have the chance to go to Paris with my high school French class, had the okay from the folks and they would give me the fee but I decided not to go. Stupid. Consequently, driving through the rocky mountains is the most scenic place I've been lolol. Boring!

I think that's why I love seeing where people live, and the pictures they post here.

Ah ok, I sometimes forget that some have not travelled as much as I have, sorry.

But...Rocky Mountains...That's on my list, high up, as I've never been there and really want to. I've not been Stateside to be honest but am so keen to get there. I guess I've left it a little later as it's an English speaking country that won't require as nimble a mind as travelling countries whose languages I don't speak well. I figured America will be an extension of what we have here in Australia, just different, bigger and with fucken weird accents! 😉

I've been very lucky (fortunate) to have been able to travel and will do some more. If I come your way I'll buy you a coffee and you'll realise just how much of a fucken knucklehead I really am. I have to catch up with @krazzytrukker and my good friend @ginnyannette as well. Good folks.

LOL sounds good...and don't think I won't collect on one of those fucken awesome hugs you espouse.

A picture speaks more than a thousand words.

And none of them are shit 🙂

Beautiful!

Good shit huh?

It's a legit place man, so beautiful and so close to Australia in comparison to other places. So many Australian's have no desire to travel to New Zealand for some reason but I think it's somewhere to go back to over and over; and that's coming from someone who has been all over the world.

Anyway, thanks for commenting.

Woww what a fantastic fucking pictures!!!! Brilliant colours, amazing scenery and that framing for a landscape that I love even if it's shit. What a sky! There's a lot of shit here, it's great!

I'm good at taking shit photos, it's my speciality.

The truth is that yes, a professional! Keep it up...

They are wonderful!

I have listen from thousand of celebrity that new Zealand is one of the best place on the world they have seen. Like what a view, what a nature, no crowded place people live very peaceful. And just see those photos u have click how lovely they are, how they can be shit photos? Btw which part of the world u are ?

New Zealand is certainly an amazing and picturesque place and one that I'll go back to more than once. I love it there for many reasons. I was born (and live) in Australia so New Zealand isn't difficult to get to and it's an easy place to travel to as they speak English. Anyway, thanks for taking a look.

Hi @galenkp, I must have horrible taste because those photos look great to me...I hope when I visit New Zealand it looks like the pictures.

When you visit New Zealand it will absolutely look like the pictures; that's just how it looks. Quite an amazing place to visit so I hope you get there someday.

Good morning Galen. I'm sure I won't be disappointed with that trip. Hope you have a great day.

I hope you've been going well and all is on track for a good week. It's been an interesting one in many ways for me, big changes, but it's all positive and that's the main thing. Half way through the week and I'd say it's been a good one.

I am glad about what you tell me. My week is going a bit as usual (fine).

"As usual" weeks are ok I guess, hopefully it inspires you to break out on the weekend and do something extraordinary.

I'm sure this weekend will be a good one. And the "as usual", is that I'm going as I should be. Smoothly and on target.

I think I like the one with the fog/clouds the best. The contrast of the brown in the foreground works really well with the green in the background.

That was somewhat of an eerie sort of view that day, but like you say, it works well. It was a nice contrast to all the blue and green one is surrounded with.

This scenery is very beautiful and amazing at the same time making me want to visit this particular location myself and explore more of New Zealand and taking in the beauty.

Man this is so beautiful and looks very peaceful.

Thank you for sharing such an amazing picture and scenery because even without visiting there in person I can feel the tranquility of the place

It's a very interesting and, of course beautiful, country of great diversity and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting. I'm looking forward to going back and would recommend you take a trip there to see it's splendor for yourself.

New Zealand contains lots of wonderful views and I always wish to be there at the place.

It surely does. When were you there last and what did you like the most?

Sadly to say but I still not went in the place Dear @galenkp , and I wish I could visit the paradisiacal place.

Maybe you'll get there one day huh?

I really hope Dear @galenkp .

Wao those pictures are lovely thanks for shearing

No worries, I'm happy to share.

Nice place by the way☺️

It sure is.
