In this episode, I am spending my timecreating three different types of trees, with three different methods.
AJT Trees
Using AJT Trees for modeling, I start out with painting the trunks, with a mix of 2 different paints. From there, I add in some glue, and add on a custom blend of a sprinkle of Woodland Scenics Coarse Ground Cover: Light Green, Medium Green, and a Burnt Grass colour. A spray of thinned scenic glue was used to keep it all in place.

A similar paint mix was used for these tree trunks and then, the same process repeated for adding in foliage, as well as adding some Clump Foliage.
Home Made, NAtrual Trees

So is.it cheaper to just buy the kit and make your own trees??? Or is the process that's just more fun to make it your own?
You are in your own world here...and I love it!!!!
A bunch of reasons for making my own trees:
• the fully made store bought trees are very uniform. SO unlike the real world. Making my own means custom, and unique for each one.
• it is cheaper to buy kits and make your own
• FOR ME, ALL of the fun of building a model rail line, is in making the actual models.
So, yeah, fun fun fun til my daddy takes the TBird away!
Makes sense...hehehe and definitely looks so good!!!
And brings out the artist and creator in you!!
Can't hurt that it's cheaper too hehehe
