Here in Upstate NY the streams are loaded with crawfish. Turn over a rock that's in the stream and more often than not you'll find a crawfish. They are not very big and I catch them by hand. They make great bait for a lot of different fish including large and small mouth bass, trout, perch, and catfish.
Good luck with your new endeavor.
Pottersville is about 3 hours from me. We pass thru it on our way to Saranac Lake. I don't know if you're familiar with Upper and Lower Saranac lakes. Great fishing, with islands that you can reserve and camp out on. One of the coolest things about the lakes is that in order to pass from on lake to the other there are a few locks you must pass through which you operate yourself.
I have been there! Actually the crazy thing is I have not been to NY in about 20 years BUT, i am leaving in the morning and headed to Croton-on-Hudson NY for 5 days. (just south of Peekskill I think) Anyway, one day headed to Aurther Ave. Bronx Little Italy. I'll do some vids for sure!
Before today I have not eaten the kind of fish you mentioned but the way you mentioned it in your video I am very much find out to eat this kind of fish. Here in Pakistan the sea fish is in high demand and is consumed here in winter. you have shared very great and amazing knowledge about crawfish.
Catching your own food simply gives you a great feeling and sense of surviving. I remember my childhood days when I would go fishing from morning till evening and when I would get home my grandma would cook all the capture, even the small fish. Happy days!
Wow this is such a delight to know, I've always know it as crayfish down here, never knew its also referred to as crawfish elsewhere.
I'm a lover of fish and most sea a creatures and you blog seems like the perfect spot to feed my eyes with this mind-blowing creatures and related content.
I wish you all the best in your new venture, I hope it turns out well in the end.
Wow...I really love this video. I love all kinds of fishes 🎏🐟 and getting to know about the crawfish from this video makes it more interesting. I hope you get to catch more fishes in your next trip and yea, spending 60 bucks on your new venture is worth what you have interest on.
I really enjoyed this fish tutorial.

You begin the video like a VJ. You look cool in yellow and matching cap. For a fishing lover I think 60 bucks is really worth to spend. Good luck on next fishing trip. Thanks for sharing such interesting 5 minutes video. Have more fun!
Hello friend, I must admit that my English is not very good, but I understand some words and from there I draw my conclusion haha I listened to the video several times and if I'm not mistaken that net is to catch lobsters or crabs, I love seafood, I really enjoy preparing dishes with seafood and fish. I hope someday you can prepare one of my favorite dishes which is seafood noodle soup, I will be happy to enjoy it in the distance... I wish you good luck in your fishing!
Happy afternoon, a big hug! @broncnutz
Hahaha I have watched your video and I really like your way of making videos. I have always loved catching the fish but unfortunately I have never been able to but I satisfy my craving by eating them because I love eating fish. I would definitely like to see how you catch the fish in your trap.

I managed a seafood franchise for a number of years... more than 10 years ago... still my favorite food, even though I ate it every day for years!

I have fished up there a couple times. My family lived in the Pottersville/Stonebridge area.

The net which is showing by you is absolutely the right things to do that, i think the zipper is probably enhanced the utilisation as a good stuff.
