Bitcoin Shopping & ATM Test
Today, we’re embarking on an interesting experiment—purchasing something with #Bitcoin and testing out a Bitcoin ATM. We’re particularly curious about how transactions using BTC Lightning thanks to @v4vapp work since Bitcoin ATMs on BTCMap.org don’t explicitly list BTC Lightning support. We’ll be checking out whether Bitcoin ATMs work with this technology and documenting our experience.
Additionally, we’re exploring how Hive’s HBD can be converted into Bitcoin seamlessly. This initiative is not just about spending crypto but also about educating ourselves and our audience on the real-world applications of blockchain technology. Thank you @brianoflondon for making this a reality.

Studio Improvements and Community Feedback
We’ve received great #feedback from listeners suggesting ways to improve our studio setup, including removing curtains and cleaning windows. While we appreciate these insights, it’s important to remember that we operate on a limited budget and within a rented space.
That said, we’ve made significant upgrades over time, including better microphones and lighting. More improvements will come gradually, and we appreciate your patience and support!
Hive in the Music Industry – Future Possibilities
We recently discussed Hive’s potential role in the music industry (thanks to @lordbutterfly's beutiful project #Vibes), particularly in Lithuania. With many connections in the local music scene, we see opportunities for:
- Musicians using Hive for promotion.
- Choirs and orchestras uploading performance videos to Hive for funding.
- Schools and institutions leveraging blockchain for arts funding.
We’re brainstorming ways to introduce Hive to these spaces in a way that’s accessible and practical, ensuring that artists can benefit from decentralized content creation.
The Hive Fest 2025 Question
No one knows where @HiveFest 2025 will be held—there hasn’t been any official announcement. At one point, we heard @Vaultec ask in the Telegram group where people thought it might take place, but that was it—no further discussion followed.
Then, on the Crypto & Cola Show in the Hive Discord channel, @Ecoinstant suggested that HiveFest 2026 could be in Colombia. We think Colombia would be a great place for #HiveFest, but first, we need to see where the 2025 event will be.
By the way, we’ve already asked if Lithuania could host HiveFest 2026—so let’s see how things unfold!
YuliKai & The Power of Hive’s Community
The Ukrainian influencer (Yes we still call her influencer) YuliKai recently confirmed that she was not paid to create her @Splinterlands related video content—she did it simply because she liked the Game! This organic interest in #Splinterlands is fantastic, and she would make an excellent addition to the Hive community as well.

This served as a crucial reminder: Hive users should carefully consider what they vote for. Supporting only essential and valuable proposals ensures that Hive’s funds are allocated responsibly.
