When I got to my first lesson, I was so excited! I couldn’t wait to start! There was programming, an #innovation project, making a team name, and so much more! But first, we got to know each other. After that, it was time to start working on the innovation project and #programming. I was so ready!
I already loved programming when I was 10, so I started using #Scratch. For those who don’t know, Scratch is a programming language for kids who like to make games (and play them). I loved it! Then, when it was almost June, I tried #Python. It was really fun! I installed it, and now I program with Python too! But that’s not all—I also make games with #Buildbox. That’s an app where you can make 2D or 3D #games.
Okay, enough about programming—let’s talk about the innovation project! If you were paying attention, you’d know it’s about the sea because of the theme #Submerged. And you’re right! Our project is connected to the sea. It’s about our team name. You’re probably wondering: what’s your team name? Well, it’s The Kraken! Cool name, right?
Our innovation project is about the giant squid. Did you know they live about 3 kilometers under the sea? That makes it really hard to catch or tag them with tracking chips. But we’re working hard to make it possible!
Our team’s big goal is to make it to the FLL World Finals. And with your help, maybe we can do it! Please donate to #support us, and maybe we’ll win! 😃
FIRST LEGO League 2024/25 SUBMERGED missions
The FIRST LEGO League 2024/25 SUBMERGED missions are all about underwater adventures! Teams build robots to complete fun challenges on a special ocean-themed board. Here’s what the missions are, explained simply:
- Coral Nursery: Put coral trees in their spot to help them grow strong.
- Shark Habitat: Move the shark back to its safe home.
- Coral Reef: Add new coral without breaking the old coral.
- Scuba Diver: Help the diver carry coral to the reef.
- Angler Fish: Guide the angler fish into a shipwreck.
- Raise the Mast: Fix the mast of a sunken ship by raising it up.
- Kraken’s Treasure: Take a treasure chest away from the Kraken’s nest.
- Artificial Habitat: Build safe homes for crabs and other sea animals.
- Unexpected Encounter: Release a strange sea creature and bring it to safety.
- Submersible Exploration: Send a small sub underwater to explore faraway places.
- Sonar Discovery: Use sonar to find hidden whales.
- Feed the Whale: Collect krill (tiny food) and feed it to the whale.
- Change Shipping Lanes: Move a ship so it doesn’t go near whale migration paths.
The goal is to complete as many of these tasks as possible in a short time! Each one is worth points, and #teamwork is super important! 🌊🐠
