Well, these here sound like some good updates.
When it comes to the encoding software, I suppose you could also write it in Dart then compile it to native. It'd be similar to writing it in JavaScript, but it'd run faster and use less RAM.

I wrote a BASH version :D But javascript is just a bit easier imo. At the moment I don't think we need to reinvent the wheel again. (Already did that 3 times now). I hope that the new software and server are sufficient for at least a year or so.
