Hello dear friends, I hope you are all very well and with the blessing of God and nature, on this occasion I am here sharing with you a new video that I have made, showing the step by step of how I made the rap legend Tupac Shakur. One of the great references of hip hop culture disappeared from this world for violent reasons that are still unknown to this day, justice has not yet been done to him, however his name and his music will continue to endure in the minds of new generations. I have made this drawing with a pen, a colored marker and using a purchase receipt as a background, it is a new modality that I am using, I hope you like it.
Hola queridos amigos, espero que todos se encuentren muy bien y con la bendición de Dios y la naturaleza, ene sta oportunidad me encuentro aquí compartiendo con ustedes un nuevo video que he realizado, mostrando el paso a paso de como hice a la leyenda del rap Tupac Shakur. Uno de los grandes referentes e la cultura hip hop desapareció de este mundo por motivos violentos que hasta hoy aún se desconocen, todavía no se le ha hecho justicia, sin embargo su nombre y su música seguirán perdurando en las mentes de las nuevas generaciones. He realizado este dibujo con bolígrafo, marcador de colores y utilizando como fondo un recibo de compra, es una nueva modalidad que estoy utilizando, espero que les guste.

I took the receipt and stuck it with adhesive tape so that it wouldn't move too much since it is a small paper, and then with a graphite pencil I made the sketch of Tupac little by little until the shape of his face looked very good and it would be easier after using the marker or pen ink.
Tomé el recibo y lo pegué con cinta adhesiva para que no se moviera mucho ya que es un papel pequeño, y luego con un lápiz de grafito fui haciendo el boceto de Tupac poco a poco hasta que la forma de su rostro quedara muy bien y fuera más fácil luego de utilizar la tinta del marcador o la del bolígrafo.

After making the sketch and making sure the face looked good, I began to shape it with the pen. On this occasion I did not make the lines so rugged but rather I did it with many oblique lines, especially to give volume to the face.
Luego de hacer el boceto y que haya quedado bien el rostro y comencé a darle forma con el bolígrafo. en esta oportunidad no hice los trazos tan accidentados si no que lo hice con muchas líneas oblicuas, especialmente para darle volumen al rostro.

After doing the stroke process with the pen, I started using the ultra fine marker, the ink is very different, since the ink from the marker usually spreads across the paper as if it were a watercolor, but the ink from the pen does not. . I like to play with this difference to make the design of my illustration take on its own meaning and style.
Después de hacer el proceso de trazos con el bolígrafo, comencé a usar el marcador ultra fina, la tinta es muy diferente, ya que la tinta del marcador suele expandirse por el papel así como si fuera una acuarela, mas no así la tinta del bolígrafo. Me gusta jugar con esta diferencia para hacer que el diseño de mi ilustración vaya cobrando su propio sentido y estilo.

Then I used the other tip of the marker, which is a little larger so the ink spreads a little more across the paper. I really like that effect since it does not overlap the ink of the pen but rather looks like a kind of shadow. At the end I also added some lyrics, like the title of one of his most famous songs, I did these with colored markers and that's how it was finished.
Luego utilicé la otra punta del marcador, la cual es un poco más grande de manera que la tinta se expande un poco más por el papel. Ese efecto me gusta mucho ya que no se sobrepone encima de la tinta del bolígrafo sino que se ve como una especie de sombra. Al final agregué también algunas letras, como el título de una de sus canciones más famosas, estas las hice con marcadores de colores y así quedo finalizado.
What do you think of the ending? I really liked this design, I thought about doing it for a white flannel, I think it would look great. Qué les parece el final? me gustó mucho este diseño, he penesado en hacerlo para una franela de color blanco, creo que se vería genial. solo tengo que tomarme el tiempo para editar mejor la imagen y este lista para poder imprimirla sobre una franela, estoy seguro que sería un gran trabajo. Es una gran idea y así uno aprovecha todo ese poco de facturas que recibe todos los días jejeje y creo que la mejor técnica sobre este material tan delicado es justamente la que estás usando, el bolígrafo 👍🏻
en dibujos anteriores he usado marcador, pero la tinta se corre demasiado. Es mejor la tinta del bolígrafo.
