one time while out for hanami or cherry blossom viewing, an open mic karaoke program was ongoing. this happened in ueno park. while others were busy watching all the sakura flowers in bloom, i was having the time of my life appreciating these courageous people who decided to share their love for singing. i don't know if they get anything in return but it seems that they were just there singing as if inside a private karaoke room. i honestly did not know that this side of japan exists, the jolly and fun loving side. and it sure is very nice to see how encouraging the crowd was. i was just there mesmerized at how the day went. it was also fun hearing familiar tunes.
that last song certainly brought back memories, and it was arguably the best.
i jokingly messaged my friend to come over and sing on stage. would you also have the courage to sing on stage like them?
