I've been positively stunned by the reactions I've been getting from my talk. It really seems to have resonated with a lot of people, a bunch of people have reached out to me and I can only assume that for everyone that reached out to me, there are more people who didn't.
Thanks a lot for sharing this, it's definitely hitting some interesting points. I think in some ways you're further along this journey than I am, and for me that gives me even more strength to continue and reassurance that I am on the right path! The part about the multitude and different rock-bottoms is something I can absolutely find myself in (but I guess you already know that at this point, haha)!
I love how you're stating that it's important to put yourself out there as well, I think this is the part I've in the last few years perhaps been lacking in. I've noticed that I've severely limited my social contacts for, in all honesty, no good reason. Just getting out there and sharing and talking with others is something I need to do more of, just like I did on this years Hivefest.
And I can give a very incredible directly related example, after my talk I ended up in a two (if not more) hour long conversation with someone who has just joined Hive and I definitely think we will start creating something together in the near future!
And yeah one hundred percent on the just do something and that it is about change more than what it is you're actually doing. Once you stop limiting yourself in what you think you can do, an amazing world of opportunity opens up. Every project I've started, I thought I couldn't do it, but well, than I did it and it's not like it all worked out smoothly and without bumps. But the things I've done, the opportunities that came from it, if you would've asked me a few years ago, I wouldn't have thought I would've been able to get where I am right now!
Once again, thanks a lot for sharing!
I loved your talk to. I downloaded the app a few weeks ago and was wondering who was behind it. Keep building at hive. Hope to know you better. Been meaning to pinmapple for a while. I think there is a lot of room for collaboration with our community Cross Culture.
Thank you! Yeah, I definitely need to work on putting myself out there, haha! 😅 I took a quick look at the community, and there seems to be indeed! Multiple-languages often means someone who visited / lived in in multiple places too!
Used Pinmapple for the first time! Much easier than I thought. I don't have many good pictures and I'm almost always in Tokyo but I'll be filling up that city with entries over the months lol...I'll try posting for the app sometime :-D You should post more if you have time, you are awesome
