Hello everyone!

I’m so excited to share the details of my latest embroidery project with you all. After a lot of effort, I finally finished the V neckline of the top. Let me take you through the process!

The Design: Woven Roses and More

For this project, I decided to go with a floral theme. The main elements of the design were woven roses, with a bead in the center to give it a delicate, dimensional look. To fill in the gaps around the roses, I added green leaves and small, violet French knots, which tied the whole design together beautifully. The combination of colors gave it a soft yet vibrant feel.

Testing the Embroidery Pen

One exciting thing I tried during this project was using a water-soluble embroidery pen to draw the pattern. You might notice a faint blue line in some of the pictures—that’s the pen! I was curious to see if it would really dissolve with water as promised, and I’m happy to report that it worked like a charm. It did smudge while I draw the pattern on the fabric though, other than that, it was very helpful with the guidelines

The Final Look

After finishing all the stitching and details, I have decided to finish it with just the neckline and not go for any other parts. I was pretty confused at first about doing roses on this printed fabric. But, it just turned OK!
I’m actually excited with how it turned out! This project has also taught me a few things for next time.

Lessons Learned

One major takeaway from this experience is the importance of having a proper pattern. While the embroidery pen was helpful, I’ve decided that from now on, I’ll use pre-drawn patterns instead of rough sketches. They’re more precise and save time during the stitching process.

What’s Next?

I’m currently working on creating digital patterns and I’m super excited to see how it evolves. If you’re interested to get this pattern (the one on the top), let me know. Also, if you've any suggestions, I’d love to hear from you!

Alright, that’s it for now. I’ll be back soon with a fun hand-sewing project to share. Until then, happy crafting!

Bye for now!
