On today's episode, I will focus on Hive.

What is Hive, and how do I start an account on this blockchain.

Hive is a decentralized social media blockchain that was created on March 20, 2020. It is a hard fork of the Steem Blockchain.

Because of the hard fork, transactions on Hive are now exclusive to applications that use the protocols of this network.

If you are a Steem blockchain registered user before March 20, 2020, then your access and keys have remained the same.

Hive has retained all your records and credentials to the Hive Network, so feel free to start using the applications that are built on the network.

Simply enter your username and keys and you should have access to all applications that are built on the ecosystem.

On the same date it launched, all Steem Holders received a 1 is to 1 ratio of Hive to Steem. What this mean is that if you were holding Steem before March 20th, Hive rewarded you with an equal amount of Steem token in the Hive Network. So check your Hive account today to find out how many Hive you have in your wallet. Find out too how much value Hive currently has in the market.

I keep on referring to Hive as a cryptocurrency, because it is. You can trade Hive on many cryptocurrency exchanges for your own currency - if supported of course by the Exchange. but to be honest, Hive is more than cryptocurrency. It is a decentralized platform where many applications are built.
