I am of the opinion that the best thing that has happened to Hive over the years is the shadow banning on Twitter, etc and refusing to talk about Hive. That has given us time to build and optimize our chain and grow a trusted and dedicated community base. We weren’t ready for mass adoption back then. We still have work to do, but we are in a much better position today.
I agree with this line of thinking. I never felt desperate for Hives mass adoption, I always felt a little uneasy not being fully prepared for an attack if one were to unfold. Those feelings have mostly gone away now as I see we sort have broken into our own lane and have a big enough network effect, and the correct defense parameters in place to withstand such attacks. The playground that is Hive will speak for itself once apps start to flock over
