I gotta tell you. My wife and I hired a contractor to do some work for us. He's building a new window frame. My wife notices (she's got a hawk's eye) its a little crooked, so she says it needs to be corrected. The contractor, the PROFESSIONAL, tells my wife that he needs to buy a new spirit level. She asks. What is wrong with this one, pointing at one he had in his tools.
"Oh" he says, "its not good, the bubble is broken... I left it out in the sun and now it doesn't center"
She came to tell me and we had a good laugh about it.
I did use my spirit level to check that the pond itself was straight.
