A short video on how to un-limit your Surron
This is green energy to the maximum!
Today's video takes us through the process of unlimiting your Surron Light Bee X
We include the test drive at the end where we take it up to 70 km per hour. That's nearly 50 mph. You will find out why it is called a Bee when you hear it take off from a stop - it makes a buzzing sound.
Surrons come limited from the factory. They will only do 50 km per or 30 mph but if you cut one wire, you will have a Surron that can do up to 80 km per hour or 50 mph.
What you will need for this project is low voltage switch, wire cutters, a drill and a soldering iron. The wire that we're dealing with is only a signal wire that goes to the controller, so it's one or two volts maximum. No risk of shock or fire.
This will definitely impact your battery life. Since we've had ours we could count on 100 km of run time no matter what the conditions. But now, battery drains faster. We are not sure the exact range until we cycle the battery through while running unlimited for some time.
This test-run was filmed in Puerto Madero and the police are everywhere in that neighborhood. Luckily, they don't give us a second look as we tear up the streets. They shrug and say, "It's electric and there is no law against that." I love Argentina!

I think I know exactly where you were riding. Right by "La Reserva", no?
Yes. The reserve was right behind me as I filmed.
