Change In Hive Outlook: We Have What They Need

Things are changing very rapidly. On Hive, we tend to bow down to the masses, groveling for them to come to our little blockchain. The reality is that this is not the stance we need to take.

In this video I discuss how we have what the masses need. As they become aware of the censorship and data erasing that is taking place, we have the solution. They are already in need of other options away from their centralized world.

This puts us in an entirely different position to operate from.

That would be an interesting change in speach, which may potentially work, because we don't seem asking for help: from "we need you" to "you need us".

Truth is somewhere in the middle: "we need each other". Because with more people coming in, possibly more investors, the ecosystem will have the fuel to rise to a different level.

I think it will all come down to see whether or not these systems will survive. Even apps like Signal whose purpose is to avoid censorship is having revolts by their employees. Many apps will probably not survive. Not because of their initial goal, but there are too many factors that can shut down a system (servers, employees and removing financial capabilities). I think we should take the time to see what went wrong with some of these applications and fix them before it comes to us.

Very true.

At least one of them we do not have. The fact that employees can fight back is not something we will see here.

But yes, we should ensure that our infrastructure is on sound ground and decentralized enough to get away from the backlash when it comes.

Very good point. Changed my perspective.

I think the point will become a lot clearer once the new Leofinance app is introduced. That will be providing the public with what it needs. Many will flock to it for safety with just a bit of promotion.

In the end, the WallStreetBets crowd is no safer simply because Reddit reopened their community.

It's all coming together, too bad the micro-app is still weeks away though. I know it's better to wait until it's ready, but it would have been nice.

This ruckus will last a while. In fact, this one came out of nowhere. More are likely to follow.

I do not believe that we have seen the end of these types of conflicts.

The microblogging is going to be an instant hit.

Pretty great video @taskmaster4450. This post worth sharing to twitter and other social media handles for many out there to watch and get educated as well. It's true we have what people wants and this has really given us an edge. It's high time people embrace decentralized social media like #leofinance and #hive that's censorship free and grossly beneficial. Thank you for posting.

I use to say this, and that's the fact that we're an already made solution to things like centralisation and censorship and tokenization of the internet, irrespective of the fact that there hasn't been a lot of adoption. We haven't been doing badly either but I still think we need to sweeten the pie, it's all working out at the end.

LOL Legendary video man....Agree with it all.

'We have a lot to offer!'

That's the take away for me...This is the perfect place for all these un-platformed communities....It just takes one.

CTP is the one.

Gotta get that going. LOL

Which one? He made so many legendary ones.

How about the gross things he does to himself video? I really could not believe he went there, I was embarrassed to have met him!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah he is really a piece of work I guess. The fact that he put that out there shows he isnt playing with all his marbles.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

No he isn't playing with his marbles. He's swallowing them. 😂

You know which one.

Summary:
The episode revolves around discussing the value proposition of Hive in the context of current events, such as the Wall Street Bets situation and concerns around centralized entities like social media, news outlets, and governments. The speaker emphasizes Hive's key features of being censorship-resistant, decentralization, immutability, and providing users with full control over their accounts. The episode also touches on the transition of people from mainstream platforms to alternative decentralized solutions like Hive due to increasing dissatisfaction with centralized authorities. The potential influx of new users and the need to continuously improve and expand Hive's ecosystem are highlighted as key focuses for the future.

Detailed Article:
The speaker begins by discussing the conventional approach of platforms like Hive in trying to attract users and how Cryptographic's comment introduced a new perspective. The idea highlighted is that instead of groveling for attention, Hive should recognize its position of power due to having what others want, such as decentralized accounts that cannot be shut down. This sets the stage for a discussion on Hive's unique value propositions compared to mainstream platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Google.

The speaker emphasizes Hive's censorship-resistant nature, where content posted cannot be taken down easily due to its presence on the blockchain. This contrasts sharply with centralized platforms where moderation and censorship are prevalent. The episodediscusses the importance of transparency and highlights Hive's decentralized validation process through witnesses, showcasing its reliability in maintaining data integrity.

The conversation then delves into the growing distrust towards centralized entities like government, Wall Street, and social media, leading people to seek alternative platforms like Hive. The speaker points out the rising discontent among users who feel disenfranchised and displaced on mainstream platforms, creating an opportunity for Hive to offer a secure and decentralized space for expression.

The recent events surrounding Wall Street Bets and the issues with centralized platforms like Twitter and Facebook further emphasize the need for decentralized alternatives such as Hive. The episode underscores the ease of transitioning users from mainstream platforms to Hive due to its low learning curve and familiar functionalities. The speaker envisions Hive as a lifeline for those who are increasingly facing censorship and control on other platforms.

Moreover, the episode touches on the broader trend of decreasing confidence in governments and establishments, predicting a significant transition in the next decade. The speaker urges the audience to take pride in the unique features of Hive, such as being fast, fee-less, immutable, and decentralized, which set it apart from other blockchain solutions.

In conclusion, the episode compels users to recognize Hive's critical role in providing a decentralized and secure alternative to traditional platforms, especially in light of current societal trends and events. The speaker's optimistic outlook on Hive's potential to attract disenchanted users and drive growth underscores the platform's significance in the evolving landscape of social media and decentralized technologies.
