We all heard how fast things are changing. Technology is going forward at a rapid pace. However, few of us are aware of how accelerated the pace truly is.
In this video I discuss some of the things that are worth watching and how they will likely change much of our world by the end of this decade, let alone by the middle of the next.

Everything is changing so far recently. You think something is decades away and then you find out it's already being implemented. I am awaiting VR to be available as I think it expand the scope of what we can do during the day. However I am also skeptical about letting corporations and government's mess with what's sent to my brain. It can be good or bad depending on who is control of the process.

VR...taking over by mid decade.
Facebook is already trying to be the gatekeeper of that as well as the Metaverse. Not a good thing and we must fight that at every turn.
As for the corporations, I agree with you. I love the idea of a lot of the tech depending upon who is in control of it. Give that to Facebook or even Tesla, no thanks. I do not even like Alexa from Amazon. I dont want these corporations to have that much control.
If I would go that route, I would go with something like this:

Very interesting, I didn't now about that site. I am going to look into it more.

Alexa but without your data in amazon's hands.

I'm hoping to hold out until they can do conscience extraction and digital embedding into androids. Lol. I laugh, but I'm sure it is being studied.

Mind uploading is being worked on. Expanding the Neocortex to the cloud is being proposed.
Many feel that is Sci-Fi while others think it will be feasible within in a couple decades.

I'm pretty sure I got a couple decades in me ... three maybe... 4 would be unlikely.

Hard to tell honestly. If one can get to the 2030s, there could be major changes that could add a few more decades to the life span.
We are likely on a curve with Biotech that mirrors information technology and the path it went on in the 1980s and 1990s.

I'm not giving up my izums. Man, I know you are right about the way things are going but I just think the way of life as I knew it will be lost to tech and I feel it's a shame that the next generation will never know how satisfying the simpler things in life are. (were)

What if technology actually made up more human, exasperated our best characteristics?
Many theorize that will be the case.

@taskmaster4450 technology have added alot of values to the society as a whole though there are some certain group of people who keeps thinking of using technology for evil purposes....
They just announced tests of Terrafugia's Transition, the worlds first flying car. Looks like those Jetson's dreams may finally come true. I can see "skyports" soaring above the ground, which will change the dynamics on the ground. Business will build "up" to reach the more affluent shoppers in the sky.

I agree with you on everything.
I've been wondering what realtors are needed for even now. Most of the time they're not very helpful. The paperwork can be done at the bank or using an app. My dealings with most of them suggest that they're needed mainly because most people feel too insecure to be selling their home to a bunch of strangers despite being much better experts of their own home than any realtor. Then again, most people who are buying a home may not feel comfortable arguing face to face over whether someone else's home is worth that they're asking for it or something like that.
It has to be some sort of a psychological thing because getting the deal done particularly when assisted by the bank with the paperwork is not rocket science.

TV is already fighting a lost cause with social media. VR will be the final nail in their coffin. Hollywood's too.
Is this something you envision for the western world in the next decade? "have nothing and be happy".

Talking about quantum computers. Is Hive quantum-resistant?
@taskmaster4450 I cannot imagine a world without technology...by now life would have become a total hell...it would have made life more difficult....
