Hey there!
@mypathtofire told me in my most recent video that he has no green thumb but I don't have one either.
Nonetheless I buy seedlings for my garden every year and enjoy the process. As a bonus if all goes well I am going to have at least some veggies (and more secret stuff haha) in late summer/autumn to harvest.
It's all about the process and less about the end result for me :) I love to take care for this place, the plants and enjoying growth over one whole gardening season. Also I like to experiment and learn as you can see of my watering system and my tries to defend snails and other creatures to hurt my plant friends.
In Germany (and probably in other parts of the same climate zone) there is a famous farmer's rule I followed for the past years saying that you should not plant before the "Eisheiligen" which is a time between the 11th and 15th of May because these are the last days with potential frosted grounds.
In my experience of the past years this is total bs (at least in our days and climate change and stuff) and so I decided to not follow this anymore and I have planted some veggies already. I dont believe that frost will come back as we have 9°C at least in the night's right now. Please cross your fingers for me that I will be right and that my neighbors in this community garden will be jealous when I harvest sooner and bigger than them ;)
Also this year is also special for a different reason - watch the video to know what I mean ^^
Thanks for watching, your support and that you take the time to share your thoughts in the comments below <3
Peace!

the illegal part, please let me know when you harvest! i will take it of you if you accept HBD for it ❤️❤️🤞🏼
Uuuuh that sounds like a plan! I will let you know man <3
I am sorryyyyy but I have a thing in the making with what I am going to distribute reward.app payouts to specific commenters. I forgot that I want to do this with this post and had to remove my vote on your comment. Somehow the notifications show that I downvoted but in reality, I just changed my vote to 0% ^^

Unfortunately the 3speak mobile app did not set the beneficiary settings so my experiment has to wait until I have a post with beneficiaries that actually gets paid out. Soooo I reset my vote to 100% haha
looking forward to the experiment ;)
I have tomatoes, chillies, cucumber, eggplants, cauliflowers and more
Oh, you use self watering?
I tried cauliflowers in the past but they all got destroyed by cabbage flies. I heard that you can simply add nets over and around but I am a bit too lazy to do this haha
The self-watering is pretty straightforward - just a battery-driven valve, a lot of hoses and a drip irrigation kit. I can make a 3speak short to show you if I remember next time :) In total, it was a 70eur investment that saved me around 60 hours of the season. My garden is a 15 minute drive from my home so it helps me a lot!
I've already started preplanting my plants. So far I've planted vine tomatoes, Mexican cucumbers (the tiny ones), cayenne peppers, okra, an old Mallorcan pepper (Tap de Corti), lemon basil, lemon balm and 60-70 tangerine seeds. The latter I always give away as young plants. I also have a fig tree, a spicy lime (for Asian cooking) and a bitter orange in my mini greenhouse. My strawberries are also in bloom. They are now being joined by pineberries, a new variety of strawberry for me. Before I forget, I also had some andeberries, and now all I need are several types of beans and cantaloupe melons. Maybe some butternut squash. But then I'm done 😅 Or am I? That's right, I still want to plant ginger. I'd better stop listing now....
You see, I don't have much room for roses. Where there would have been room, a goji tree has been growing for years. And in another place, a grapevine has been growing for 20 years... I just have too little space😜
Oh my god, you sound like a gardening king :D nothing more I can say about your abundance of plants haha
In the video, I forgot 2 big pots with Jerusalem artichokes I got as a gift from a friend. I hope to get a never-ending supply of them if all goes well :)
You're on the right track.
Yeehaw! This gardener's spirit is mighty inspiring, embracing the journey of growth and learning along the way. Let those veggies flourish with your tender care and daring spirit! Keep on planting and nurturing, cowboy!
Howdy partner! I'm a real plantboy!
Well howdy there, plantboy! Saddle up and let your green thumb lead the way this week. The prairie's waitin' for your blooms to brighten it up! 🌵🌻🌿
Looking good! You have a nice mix of things growing there. I have grown the special thing but only inside under special conditions 😅. It was not easy to care for, but was nice to see them growing naturally on the side of the road in India. Roses are red, violets are blue, thanks for the mention in this video!
Thanks!
I did grow them indoors 2 times in the past but without any light or stuff and it worked out okay. Good enough for my younger stoner-self ^^ I hope to see them growing wild here in Germany someday but I guess that will not happen because of all the regulations around that plant. I still don't understand why this beautiful plant is "illegal" when you can plant very poisonous plants or the good old angel's trumpet or hydrangea that have been used as drugs for decades.
P.S. what a nice rhyme :P
Yes it is crazy. I have some Fotos of them and myself growing wild on the side of the road when I visited India . It would be good to see them growing wild here.
