It's been a hectic couple of days but two days ago I finally got to town and after much searching, I ended up with two pipes, some tobacco, and a bunch of the necessary accoutrements.
Joe at Shefield & Sons Tobacconists in Fort St. John, BC was excellent and I really wish I had found them first. I guess it's a sign of the times but nobody could seem to tell me where to buy pipe tobacco. Even the guy who sold me the first pipe. Anyhow, Joe was helpful and well informed about what I needed to know, unlike Sootay's Smoke Shop which was a terrible experience so I won't go back there again.
Anyhow, I found a blend called Mr. B's English Mix that just smelled more natural than the Captain Black (Sail) that I remembered from my youth. I've had a couple of smokes so far and other than the dirty tobacco mouth, I really enjoy it. I hope my wife will still kiss me.

You should try pipes R us in the pipe district. Place is full of pipes. Il get you a mac and magnifying glass next.

I have never seen the Wave+ but I had a Wave for many years and it is the best multitool I have ever used. Good choice on that.
I don't know if I can get into pipes like some of the people in these videos. Also the online communities are full of judgey motherfuckers but luckily there are some normal folks too. Some of them are quick to tell you how garbage everything but what they like is. I like the ones who are like, "If you enjoy it, it's good."
I am going to town next week and will get some new tobacco and will also get a list of what they have to show you and see if you know any of them. I can't really find much time for posting so I can't guarantee how much pipe material I can provide but maybe I will get a chance to do some scrapping vids while smoking a pipe and chatting.
