Firstly, thank you (no capital after a comma, unless it's a name of a person or place)

As not English native speaker I´m always afraid to make mistake.
As I am not a native English speaker,...mistakes (plural for mistakes)

*Therefore I find this initiative as a great idea *
You would put a comma after "mistakes" and write therefore ("therefore" cannot begin a sentence) ...initiative a great idea... (no "as")

..teachers who allow... (Whenever it's a person, it's either "who" (subject of the verb) or "whom" (object of the verb). Many native English speakers make this mistake. "That" is for a thing.)
