Hello Family, blessings to all, in my second post in this beautiful community, which covers great points that form our intellect as general culture, I want to share the importance of the DAY OF THE RACE in Venezuela our native country, being October 12 the historic day that gave entry to the Mestizaje.
Everything comes from the discovery, conquest and colonization of Spanish America, once revealed the earthly paradise by the beauty of nature and the simplicity of the Indians who inhabited those lands, the Spanish came to dispossess them in a cruel and ruthless manner, because the Spanish had lethal weapons that the Indians did not possess culminating with their physical aggression and dispossession.
Once the aborigines were defeated, they had to give in and become slaves for a long time.
Broad topic that carries with it a great history, the aborigines were the first inhabitants of our territory, they were organized in tribes some of which managed to develop agriculture and remained stable in certain places, but like everything else there were some who were wandering gatherers and hunters, with the passage of time they were called nomads.
With the opening of the mestizaje the social classes were divided as the peninsular whites, the pardos, the natives and the slaves. Each class came from different ways of life and determined economic, political and social characteristics.

Our aborigines brought us the preparation of arepa, cassava, corn, as well as the mazamorra, the Andean fermented starch chicha, they made flutes, canoes, fishing nets, bows and arrows, bone ornaments, built water channels and dams or small dams, extraordinary natural abilities, without the need of any academic preparation, only the experience of life, intelligent, hard-working and they even bartered their pearl and gold necklaces for small mirrors and cards offered by the Spaniards.
Every indigenous community had a chief called Cacique, being the maximum authority, who administered the goods of his tribe. Among the most important Caciques of our country we find Guaicaipuro, Tamanaco, Mara, among other great characters that marked history, for their courage to defend with dignity from the conquerors their territory and their people, causing their casualties in a warlike manner.
Their transcendence is preserved in certain parts of the country, preserving their rituals, they cured diseases with roots and medicinal plants such as elder, zabila, tobacco among others, known as shamans.
From the colony come myths and supernatural stories, such as the five white eagles and the moon worshipers, among the best known.
The importance of this topic is that they left great valuable contributions in the historical evolution of our country, they were manufacturers, farmers, healers, builders, giving entrance to what we know as culture, term used to elaborate, create, build, design of their own effort and dedication with the help of nature.
This post in short in comparison to what they lived, the cover photo was a strategy applied in a maternal with manual posters, made of cardboard, popsicle sticks and their emblematic drawings, so that children can appreciate in a simple way their clothing, their food, their tastes, the important thing is to preserve their beliefs, customs, traditions and values, which represent the roots of our nation.
