Hey, Hivers! It's makiyumee here and I am back again with another blog! How are you today? I hope you're doing well under this cold air and rainy weather. I hope ya'll are keeping yourselves warm. Alright, now it's time to dive into the blog.
Before our midterm examinations came, our teacher gave us a task to report about the works of Jose Rizal and we were supposed to start our class reporting after the examinations. After a week and our midterm examinations were done, it was finally time for us to execute and perform our class reporting about Jose Rizal's works.
But there's actually a twist. We won't be doing the traditional class reporting where we would put a lot of visual aids on the white board. What we planned this time were strips of paper that contained the information that my classmates need to know and along with these are challenges that they need to solve. It is going to be a race against time and whoever solves the challenges, answers the questions and retrieves the information wins a special polvoron.
In the calm atmosphere of the classroom, my classmates formed lines with their teams. The excitement was clear, and a nervous energy buzzed in every smile and quiet encouragement. Some members exchanged quick looks, boosting each other's confidence, while others eagerly eyed the table where the first challenge awaited, their determination shining through.
The room was filled with soft conversations and the sound of shuffling feet. Each team gathered closely, leaning in to discuss their strategy. Some teammates held their pens tightly, prepared to take notes or make calculations, while others stared ahead, getting ready for the task. When the signal to start was given, the teams leaned forward together, excited to face the first challenge. The classroom felt charged, with everyone focused and ready for the competition.
After completing the first challenge, the excitement in the room increased. With the next clue ready, everyone rushed out of the classroom. The hallway quickly filled with laughter, footsteps, and cheerful shouts as my classmates hurried to the next spot, eager to beat the other teams. They moved like a wave, creating a buzz of energy as they raced for the next clue.
Some got caught up in the fun and started playfully nudging each other. I noticed a few teammates bumping into one another, laughing and joking as they encouraged each other to go faster. Even in their rush, they kept the mood light. It was obvious that no one meant any harm; they were just enjoying the thrill of the competition. Some would tap their friends on the shoulder, urging them to speed up, while others cheered for their teammates from behind. The whole scene was filled with joy, and I couldn’t help but smile as I watched them dash off with such excitement.
Every now and then, a group would stop to celebrate, squealing and jumping with joy whenever they realized they had solved a challenge correctly. The high-fives, happy shouts, and bright smiles showed just how much they enjoyed every little victory. Their excitement was contagious, and soon enough, I found myself laughing as I watched them all hurry down the hallway, heading towards the next location. They were so full of energy and life, and it was a beautiful sight to see everyone enjoying themselves, forgetting about everything else for a while as they focused on solving challenges and working together.
As one of the facilitators, my task was to keep an eye on everyone and make sure everything was running smoothly. I walked behind the groups, observing their progress and watching for any signs of trouble. My role was simple: if any group encountered a problem, I was there to step in and help. Whether it was explaining a tricky part of the clue or pointing them in the right direction, I was ready to offer support. Seeing them work together and overcome challenges was both inspiring and heartwarming. It reminded me how powerful teamwork and a positive attitude could be, especially when everyone shares the same goal.
There were moments when I had to remind a few participants to slow down if they got too carried away, but for the most part, they kept things friendly and respectful. The playful pushing and the shared laughter were all part of the experience, creating memories that we would all look back on fondly. Being a facilitator gave me a different perspective on the event. I could see just how much fun everyone was having and how they were making bonds with their teammates.
Watching my classmates run with such passion and joy made me realize how much these kinds of activities bring us all closer together. By the end of the day, it wasn’t about who won or lost, but about the shared moments of laughter, teamwork, and discovery. This race wasn’t just a game; it was an adventure, a time for everyone to connect, make memories, and find joy in the simple act of working together and having fun.
As the race continued, the groups moved swiftly through the last few challenges, working together and trying their best to finish strong. Each group was eager to win, especially because the prize was a special treat—polvoron that one of my classmates had brought, just for the winning team. I could see the excitement and determination in everyone’s faces as they tackled each challenge with focus.
Some of the questions required the groups to remember important facts about Jose Rizal’s works, his life, and his legacy, and the teams worked hard to get the answers right. It was a test of both speed and knowledge, and each team gave their best effort. Despite a few wrong guesses here and there, most groups pushed through, determined to keep up with one another and to give it their all.
After a few intense moments, Group 3 finally arrived at the finish line with bright smiles and happy shouts. They had come in first, completing all the challenges and showing a great understanding of Jose Rizal’s works. Their hard work, teamwork, and quick thinking had paid off. The rest of us, including the other groups, clapped and cheered them on, happy for their victory.
That would be all for my blog, I hope you all had fun reading it and I will see you all on the next one!
