Hello, everyone! Here I am again for another blog content. How have you all been doing lately? It surprised me that we're almost nearing the end of the month. Time went by so fast. I hope you all are still carrying the courageous heart to keep going no matter how each day appears to you. Anyway, the blog that I am going to share today is about the week of my life as an Intern student. In the previous weeks, I published a content when I was still an intern hopeful, you may read it here —https://peakd.com/hive-178265/@maryjolly/intern-hopefuls-and-behind-the-scenes-in-between —and now I'm giving you all an update what me and my co- interns have been up to lately.
My usual view before I entered the office. As I always emphasize, I'm an early bird. Glad that it became my choice.
Here's some of the snaps on our day one. We had a little huddle and were told by our supervisor to write our expectations on this Internship.
No one can beat our laser focused co -intern. He was in a deep thinking mode. Whatever his expectations are, it would be coming from the heart and true intention.
Us, posing for a while. After we had written our expectations, we also had our one on one mini interview with our supervisor. An extra layer of nervousness again but still, we made it.
And then we had our lunch. A very nice place with very nice people. We had a little chit chat as we waited for our food to be served. Some of us only brought our own lunch box to save up for food expenses. We are practicing being economical already.
On the next day, we were oriented about some of the company's available properties. By the way, we are currently an interns at a real estate company. So land properties and any type of real estate in between will be mostly focused.
Work mode is on. For this specific day, we were tasked to create FB reels. Our supervisor was part of the segment on a radio program. He tackled mostly about OFW and some touches of the importance of investing their money properly ( this includes to investing in real estate). He wants us to summarize his words of wisdom, do some effects and make it enticing for viewers through FB reels. This was the time I realized that video editing and everything that has something to do with technology was no easy task. A big applause to all video editors and techno geeks out there, the technicalities are way challenging. Some people would say a techno geek person is a big turn on? Would you guys agree?
SITE VISIT
As Interns who dip our toes into real estate marketing, this week, we had the chance to come along with our supervisor together with one of the marketing staff and had some site visits. Our supervisor was looking for a LOT area where he could build a factory but as we checked the site, it was suitable for housing. We did take photos and videos as it would be part of our task to create some marketing materials.
ATTENDED TWO PKS (PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE SEMINAR)
1. Grand Land Inc.
Grand Land Inc. is one of the accredited developers of the real estate company where we had my Internship. One of the Marketing staff, Miss A. told us that they always had this kind of event and now that we are part of the company, we will also have the chance to attend the said PKS. Grand Land is an outstanding developer. On the PKS, they highlight their existing projects and now, they are also up for a new one.
Presenting to you our esteemed speakers. Sir Cayl and Sir Chris.
2. Sterling Land
Aside from Grand Land, Sterling Land is also one of the best accredited developers of the real estate company where we had my Internship. In the said seminar, the speaker highlights more about their projects particularly in the area within Cebu Province and Cebu City. Their condominiums and units available also come with a lot of perks, so as a buyer, your money is never going to be put to waste.
And that's a wrap!
What a memorable first week at work. I have learned so much. From the valuable wisdom we acquired when we had the huddle session with our supervisor, learning more about real estate marketing, attending product knowledge seminars and being privileged enough to come along on site visit. I can't wait to learn and explore more in the next coming days.
That's what I've got for today, my dear Hivers! I hope you enjoyed reading my blog. Until next time!
