Thanks to see I'm not the only one thinking about every possible scenario haha

The mob problem is even if you stand still you are regarded as the enemy. The only option appears to be going with the flow and trying to protect others along the way of the mob while also protecting yourself. Fighting the mob is basically giving them what they ask for...
