True Community - Abundance.Tribe's BiWeekly Question

We tend to believe, that community is about the relationships we have with other people. Whether they are intentionally created or because of geographical reasons. The idea, that wherever we live, we are connected with the people that live around us. That they form our community.

Intentional communities, are where people choose to live together, because they share a common vision about how they wish to live, which can be influenced by their religion or beliefs.

But I believe that community, begins with ourselves, because if we first cannot communicate honestly and openly with ourselves, then how can we commune with other beings. It begins with the connection we make with our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual self.

Community is a meeting, a meeting of all parts of ourselves, elevated and held together by love and self acceptance. It is, what helps us to create what we want and to assist us in moving forward in life. To first be here for ourselves, before we can be there for others.

Once we reach that level of community, then we can extend it outwards to others. Creating a community with nature, or with other people. But in order to create a community that is True to you, you need to first know yourself!

So that you can focus, on creating the world that you wish to live in. Connecting with others who feel the same way and committing to that vision until it is achieved. Taking responsibility for our actions, for the way in which we interact with others and with our environment.

It is a life path, committing to creating true community.

There are different levels of community, for some they experience true community when they are in nature. Where they can connect more deeply with the earth and ultimately with themselves. It takes a certain type or person, who chooses to live outside of society, on the edges.

But the edges, are where we so often, find more creativity and the opportunity to connect with the more playful side of ourselves. It is where we flourish, just like within nature. Where we see more life and more diversity, on the edge of the forests, the edge of pastures etc.

It is all about what rings true to you, I can not tell anyone else what true community means to them, I can only speak for myself. To me it is all about, steeping into your power, so that you can then empower others. So that you can live in harmony with nature.

Because my community, includes nature and all of it's beings,I aim to live a life, where all life forms are honoured and respected. It goes way beyond, the relationships I have with other humans. I do not wish to live in a way, in which I leave a huge mark on the earth. Instead, I strive to be of service to her!

To be connected, to communicate with and to understand the sounds and signs that are send our way. To find the courage to be true to myself and honor my needs, so that I can then honor others. To let go of the things that no longer serve me, so that I can then help to rid the world, of the things that does that serve it!

We are all connected, we are all a part of nature and as is the way, we experience both order and chaos. Being able to acknowledge and embrace this, allows us to then flow with the natural order of things.

For me, life is all about community, we can not survive without it, whatever form that may be. To thrive, we need to firstly focus on community within ourselves. To engage with our internal community, so that we can engage effectively with our external community.

Our bodies, are made up of so many different elements and components, just like external communities. Taking care of ourselves, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, Like I said it is a life path, a huge commitment. If you really desire to make change, then YOU have to begin to explore, what true community means to you!

This part said it all..we all have different view of what a true community is and your point of view of a true community is really commendable

Just wow. This post is beautifully written, full of truth, and visually stunning. If I could upvote it over and over I totally would ~ so I re-posted it!

Community mindset is such a precious gift, and the balance of being an individual on a spiritual journey and sharing a greater path with others who are also consciously choosing their footsteps is something amazing to experience. The term "intentional community" really does fit!

At the end of your post, you said "If you really desire to make change, then YOU have to begin to explore, what true community means to you!" In my pagan community, we end each ritual with a mantra that is finalized by "...we are power, we are change; our circle is open but never broken"

Thank you for being a part of my greater circle, @trucklife-family. It's wonderful to know there are micro-cosms around the world that are participating in this global community the right way.

Ah thank you @freemotherearth, I am real glad it resonated with you and yes very happy to be in your wider circle too. xxxx
