My little Mika will often sleep in the most unusual positions and anywhere close to where I am. Being a Shitzu-Maltese breed, they are never more than a few feet away. I am always telling her that she is my new shadow who follows me everywhere.

In my lap on lazy afternoons but only if I have a blanket on top of myself. She never lays in my lap without one for some odd reason.
She was so exhausted after playing with her octopus that she dropped it on the stairs and took a nap next to it.
She is getting very sleep-eyed and brought her buddy up into the kitchen since I was at the table having lunch.

Lying upside down on the couch while I sit writing a post for Hive. She is out like a light and I heard her whimpering while having a little dreamtime.

This is new, lying on top of the table that sits between my two recliners. I think she was waiting for me to finish editing photos and trying to let me know she was getting tired. She asks to be held for a few minutes before she settles down for her nap. I have to say I spoiled her a bit much as she was growing up.
Finally, she gives up and comes and lies at my feet while I get some work done. I just love my little companion even though she wants my attention all day long.
