DPET and A Lazy Day - by Sunscape

Usually Sunday has the lazy day vibes for us, but, today all our house wants to do is chill out.

Mika is out cold on my lap while I try to read a book on my Kindle app.

Earlier today I went outside to check on my gardens since all the snow has melted from last week. The sun was shining so brightly that it looked like early spring. However, the 30°F temperature told a different story.

Mika got a little bit cold from following me around the yard. She had just gotten a haircut a few days ago and now she is snuggled into the blanket on my lap to warm up.

Naptime is over and now it is time for her afternoon bone.

I think that she believes the bone tastes better when being chewed on my lap.

If any of you happen to have a puppy or young dog, I bet you find yourself very busy entertaining them all day long. Mika thinks we are her constant playmate. Here she is asking my husband to get her octopus off the second shelf.

It is one of her favorite squeaker toys and was given to her by the trainer we hired to assist with managing her. She has a very stubborn streak and likes to do things her way all the time.

Of course, she got her way and managed to get the octopus off the shelf. A little bit of playing fetch with her daddy made for a very happy puppy.

Then just like that playtime was over and a belly rub was requested. I have a feeling my puppy is a little bit ADHD. Having a puppy is like having a busy 2-year-old constantly all day long.
