Are you a fellow pet owner who is always taking pictures of your fur babies? Ever since our puppy arrived I have overloaded my camera with daily photos of Mika.
Of course, it is very difficult to remember which ones I have shared in the past. I have decided that after I edit them it would be wise to delete them after using them in a post.
Mika claimed the chaise lounge when I purchased it this summer. She loves lying on it when we are on the porch. Or, when I decide I would like to use it, then she feels she has to take up the bottom half crowding me out. lol
This is my girl asking me where her afternoon snack is. Of course, she has a built-in clock that dictates what is happening throughout the entire day. If by chance I happen to forget what time it is, she will gently remind me to pay attention to her schedule.
As soon as she is up from her mid-day nap, it is time for hubby to cut up duck jerky into small pieces for her snack. Here they are sitting on the porch enjoying some quality bonding time.
Our summer and fall afternoons are always spent sitting on the back porch together. Mika loves watching for little creatures to show up in the yard. If one does, the chase is on and she manages to get some much-needed exercise to burn off that excess puppy energy.
She cracks me up every time she listens intently to a noise she puts her ears back just like this. She heard a dog bark off in the distance and was deciding if she should run to the edge of the property to check it out.
I just adore this little one. She loves sitting on my lap when I am settled down in my chair. I take that time to scroll through the Hive feed and see what my friends are up to. It is our special moment during the day that is just for the two of us. She rarely sits on my husband's lap unless, of course, it is snack time. Our time is just for snuggling up together.
She is patiently waiting for me to get up and come out into the yard to play with her. This is her way of asking quietly, hoping I get the message.
This summer one of my neighbors came home with this Collie puppy. Mika now has someone to have playdates with. This is her very first friend and they make for great playmates. I am so happy that my neighbor is willing to do weekly get-togethers so they can rustle and tussle together like dogs need to do.
They are taking a moment to cool off in the little pool since they both got overheated from running around the entire yard in the heat.
The Collie's name is Doogie and he already towers over Mika. Sometimes he gets a bit too rough with her so we watch them carefully when they are playing.
With all the rain we have had lately, Mika's tail has been extra frizzy and fluffy. I just had to take a photo of her little poof ball, how cute is that?
Until next time, this is Sunscape
Sun. Scape. Ing Your Day
Mika is very smart and cute!
Thank you. We adore her.
She's so photogenic! And a collie puppy to play with! Loved her pool...
Those two dogs love jumping in the pool together, it is the funniest thing to watch.
