The Cornelian

She is beautiful and charming! Deudorix epijarbas, known as the cornelian or hairy line blue, is a species of lycaenid butterfly that inhabits the forests of Sumatra. This species is also distributed in other countries in Southeast Asia and South Asia. There are many similar characteristics in lycaenid butterflies, such as the underside of the wings, so it is sometimes difficult to differentiate between each species. But this beautiful girl was enough to help me identify her. When she opens her wings, you can see the upper part of her wings, which are orange with brownish sides. Deudorix epijarbas, no doubt!
