There is no feeling like exploring new landmarks that are rarely visited.
I am in my first year of Uni, and I am only about 30 minutes from campus. This means that I can still explore along the coast!
I stayed at my grandparents house for a night, because there is no point driving back to return in the morning for another class, so I went and explored at sunset and sunrise the next morning.
I was aware of this place, as I have seen one photo from here before, but I didn't actually realise you could go down and enter a little bit of a cave!
At this point in the milky way season, the core lines up perfectly and I will be hopefully using my new star tracker here next week. If this works out, i'm confident that I will be creating some images that I have never seen before.
Here is my attempt from sunset:
And here is a vertical pano that I took from the base at sunset the next morning, this is similar to what I would love to capture under the milky way!
My favourite image is definitely the bottom one, what about you?
Thanks for reading and checking out my post :)
You are truly a lucky guy dude. Great pic!
Thank you! It is just so amazing to be able to visit places like these so close to home. I’m going to try and get the Milky Way over it tonight 🤞
I’ll be sure to check it. Stay safe!
